Great Service, overall! I booked them on short notice and was not sure how it would go. Swift Shift Van Lines still showed up at the time they gave me, and they worked through everything without rushing.
Swift Shift Van Lines is a moving Broker. Something their agent did not tell us when we were on the phone. The agent also said our belongings would be stored in the state we were moving to; the mover that arrived said our belonging were going to be stored in another state. Also the agent under estimated the space we would need for our belongings, so the initial price was acceptable; when the mover arrived the space needed and price went up by alot. The link for the estimate expired by the time the mover arrived (something they do not inform you of). The mover showed up at 815pm on the second day, within the two day window. They contacted us several times moving the pick up time; but showing up that late is not good business management or respectful to the customer. When we were told the new moving cost estimate; we attempted to call Swift Shift Van Lines and were going to cancel and see about a refund, but no one answered. We would not under any circumstance recommend Swift Shift Van Lines.
Joseph was behind the wheel. My apologies, I neglected to find out the identities of the other two members in his team. Positive demeanor and no issues to report. Care was taken to avoid damaging the walls or the furnishings. There won't be any bad outcomes. In my perspective, Swift Shift Van Lines is necessary.
Moving from our old home to our new three-bedroom house was made so much easier by the movers. They were quick, careful, and very professional. Excellent service!
Honestly, I didn’t expect much since it was a small job. But these guys treated it like a full move. They packed, labeled, and stacked everything neatly inside. It took less than 45 minutes, and they were professional the whole time.
These movers resemble superheroes without their costumes! They handled moving my bulky furniture with ease. Well done!
Before moving, I needed to get rid of a lot of old basement junk and broken furniture. I added their haul-away service to the moving package. The crew quickly removed all the unwanted items right from the basement. This saved me a lot of time and heavy lifting before the actual moving day.
Cannot review Swift Shift for moving services as they are just brokers with good sales people who tell you they are giving you a very good price because otherwise one of their trucks will be heading back to Florida empty, thus you are getting a very good deal, but you need to decide quickly. Then they make you pay 30% non-refundable deposit, which is basically their cut for booking the order. What I mostly hold them responsible for is lying to get your business and then contracting the moving companies who leave customers with long lasting frustration, disappointment, loss of trust in the good and reliable service, and damaged and lost items. In our case it was alphamovingservices.com. Once we signed the contract we were directed to the contracted moving company that told us they have their own rules. The lesson learned if we ever need to move again. But for the starters, my first piece of advice would be to hire small company or private movers who you will directly work with from start to finish and who do not make you pay deposits that are not refundable after 48 hrs of booking. Pay attention to not so bright reviews as I'm very puzzled with how Swift Shift got so many when they are not after all just a broker and not the moving company.
Our commercial move was stress-free thanks to their organized approach. They labeled boxes, handled large equipment smoothly, and had us set up in the new space without delay. Their professionalism made the entire transition easier.
Four men did an excellent job of moving everything from my large house to my new, smaller home. They are the best of movers. I would definitely recommend them to others as well.
