I was expecting some hidden fee or something, but nope. Swift Shift Van Lines was straight up from the start. The movers were actually friendly too, which was weird because most movers look miserable. Would hire them again.
Overall, the experience was below average. Better planning, stronger communication, and improved customer service would have made a significant difference.

Living in a busy downtown area makes parking a huge truck almost impossible. Somehow, the driver found a spot and worked quickly to avoid blocking the bus lane. My heavy mahogany wardrobe made it inside without touching a single doorframe. The guys were incredibly helpful and handled the stuff with care. I felt lucky to have such an experienced team helping me out on a hectic Saturday morning. They were able to transfer the things on the same afternoon safely.
They were very proactive, working while singing along to the radio, which made the experience seem quite enjoyable.
James and Michael provided excellent communication throughout the move. They kept me informed about the progress, from the initial assessment to the final delivery. Their clear instructions made it easy for me to prepare and plan accordingly.
I was lied to from the beginning by Nicole Jones. I specifically asked if they were brokers, I was assured they have their own movers and trucks. MAP movers showed up. Neither moving men spoke English, one could barely see so I had to fill out my own billing paperwork having no idea what I was doing. They arrived at 530 pm and didn't finish until after midnight. All kinds of extra charges amounting to several thousand dollars over my initial bill. Jordan at swift shift was dismissive of me during a call to update my items to be moved. He never officially updated my list so the movers charged me extra for everything Jordan failed to add to my list. I can not get a delivery date from anyone. So I have no idea when my things will be arriving. I have emailed repeatedly with no response. Just a mess. Moving cross country is already stressful, but I couldn't have chosen a worse moving company to deal with.
My daughter had several large canvases from her art school. The movers placed cardboard between them and kept them upright. Watching her hang them in her new room without damage made both of us very happy.
Glad I called this company for our store relocation from SD to GA. The crew handled the racks, counters, and stock with good teamwork. They packed the fragile items from the shelves in separate boxes and loaded them in order. At the new shop, they set everything just the way we wanted. The move stayed calm and well-managed from the beginning.
