Moving my store to a new spot sounded horrible. I got too much stuff, but they finished it way faster than I thought. I didn’t even lose a day of work. Very Smooth Transition!
I liked how the crew prepared everything before transportation. Furniture was secured well, and fragile household items received extra attention. The unloading process was also neat and straightforward.
The apartment move from the north side to the new condo went better than expected. The crew from Swift Shift Van Lines arrived right on time and brought all the packing supplies with them. They wrapped my furniture carefully and stacked everything neatly in the truck. What stood out was how organized they were from start to finish.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
Four men did an excellent job of moving everything from my large house to my new, smaller home. They are the best of movers. I would definitely recommend them to others as well.
The overall experience was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. Communication was inconsistent, and the entire process felt poorly managed. I expected a much higher level of service.
I do not usually write reviews, but Swift Shift Van Lines was too good. They showed up on time, loaded everything without drama, drove carefully, and unloaded everything exactly where I pointed. That is it. That is the whole story.
From the first time I called to ask about their services, I had a great experience. The men were on time and did great work. Their price was exactly what we thought it would be, with no extra fees. They worked quickly and were very careful with all of my things. They moved everything from the 3rd floor of my apartment building to my storage on the 2nd floor in few hours.
Glad I called this company for our store relocation from SD to GA. The crew handled the racks, counters, and stock with good teamwork. They packed the fragile items from the shelves in separate boxes and loaded them in order. At the new shop, they set everything just the way we wanted. The move stayed calm and well-managed from the beginning.
A few heavy landscape features needed to be relocated to my new backyard yesterday. Those guys managed the awkward lifting with a lot of skill and didn't damage any of the property. I found the whole process very straightforward because the workers were so helpful and easy to talk to. I would definitely use this specific group again for any future outdoor projects.
