Honestly, I was not expecting it to go this smoothly. The whole move was done faster than I thought, and the guys were very easy to deal with.
We moved and picked up furniture from our home, a family member's house and a storage unit. The company carefully outlined the route and verified the order of stops. During unloading, all items were accounted for.
Moving my office desk and computer gear worried me because I need them for work. The movers labeled and packaged each piece, then set it up again at the new spot exactly how I needed
I had a very serious and frustrating experience with Swift Shift Van Lines and the moving company they brokered. After major issues during delivery—including erratic and unsafe behavior by movers they literally hired from Craigslist, unreliable delivery timelines which caused us to have to sleep on the floor of an empty house for a week, damage to property and belongings, and pressure to sign paperwork without proper verification and they left without me signing the paperwork which leads me to believe they may have forged my signature (swift shift has still not confirmed they have retrieve this paperwork which is either not signed or bares a false signature)—I attempted multiple times to resolve these matters directly with Swift Shift. They have since stopped responding entirely. I have spoken with attorneys who advised that while the situation appears clearly criminal, the cost of pursuing legal action would likely exceed any recovery. Because of that, the most realistic option left to me is to warn others publicly. This review is written so future customers can make an informed decision and understand the risks involved when using this broker.
My upright freezer was the hardest part of my state-to-suburbs move. The movers wrapped it in plastic to keep fingerprints off the surface and strapped it tightly in the truck. After setting it up in the utility room, I plugged it in, and it hummed like normal. It looked the same as before the move, spotless.
They were amazingly patient. I made a lot of changes at the last moment and they managed them wonderfully. They spotted that I was behind with packing and pitched in to help finish a few boxes for me. A team that works hard and is so kind!
Our move included a 200-gallon fish tank, which I was sure would be a disaster. But the movers treated it like gold, draining it carefully and using custom padding to transport it. They also positioned it in the new living room and waited while I set up the filtration system. Not a single fish was harmed!
The crew leader had a tablet to document every item and its condition. They packed my grandfather clock with extra padding, ensuring no damage.
Our cross-town move turned out to be much more involved than we expected, but Swift Shift Van Lines experts handled every aspect with impressive skill. The movers arrived with all the necessary materials – boxes, blankets, straps – and packed our entire 3-bedroom home in few hours. When we got to the new house, they carefully unloaded each box into the corresponding room, and set up our furniture just as we requested. They deserve nothing but praise!
Terrible deceptive company!!! I I would rate zero stars! This appears to be the biggest Scam operation for moving out there. I was scammed my deposit and the movers didn’t even show up and they refuse to refund my money. They said the truck was too full and they didn’t have anyone available for my entire travel stay of 10 days. There are many complaints online. They are not accredited by Better Business Bureau and many many terrible reviews and complaints. I am a widow and I feel extremely violated by this company and I’m not alone because they’ve done it to many many other people.Do not write them a check you’ll never see your money again, and they won’t provide the services that they claim to provide. They don’t care about you. They are supposedly moving brokers not a moving . It’s a big scam. They will say anything. Very sly and deceptive.
