Andrew and John were efficient and quick, but they also did a really good job. They know how to get things done fast and well.
We departed from an elevated structure devoid of a freight elevator. Their composure was commendable throughout what felt like an eternity to us. Because of their competence and power, I was incredibly satisfied.
BEWARE. Stay away from this company. They will take your deposit and the day of the move they more than double the price of the move. I specifically told the broker we had 2 10 ft sofas it’s in my contract and the movers said they take up too much space. It was extortion the day of the move. I guess they make there business by keeping your deposit. I paid by credit card and I will fight them. HORRIBLE COMPANY. STAY AWAY.
Even though I had only a mattress and a few boxes to move, the crew treated me like their most valued customer. For my small task, they were thorough and took no shortcuts. Their expertise was greatly appreciated.
Honestly, I was not expecting it to go this smoothly. The whole move was done faster than I thought, and the guys were very easy to deal with.
What helped most was how they handled the equipment. No delays, no excuses, just got it done the way I asked. Our stuff was out and loaded before lunch, and that saved everyone a long day.
We had several glass tables and mirrors in our move. The crew wrapped them carefully, taped the corners, and carried them without rushing. Every fragile item made it into the new place safely. Stellar job
Swift Shift Van Lines is a moving Broker. Something their agent did not tell us when we were on the phone. The agent also said our belongings would be stored in the state we were moving to; the mover that arrived said our belonging were going to be stored in another state. Also the agent under estimated the space we would need for our belongings, so the initial price was acceptable; when the mover arrived the space needed and price went up by alot. The link for the estimate expired by the time the mover arrived (something they do not inform you of). The mover showed up at 815pm on the second day, within the two day window. They contacted us several times moving the pick up time; but showing up that late is not good business management or respectful to the customer. When we were told the new moving cost estimate; we attempted to call Swift Shift Van Lines and were going to cancel and see about a refund, but no one answered. We would not under any circumstance recommend Swift Shift Van Lines.
My experience with these guys was exactly what I needed. They showed up early and immediately got to work disassembling a complicated home gym setup I owned. They handled all the tools and hardware like professionals. I really appreciated that they confirmed the drop-off location and inventory list multiple times. All the things were accounted for and undamaged upon arrival.
