From the first time I called to ask about their services, I had a great experience. The men were on time and did great work. Their price was exactly what we thought it would be, with no extra fees. They worked quickly and were very careful with all of my things. They moved everything from the 3rd floor of my apartment building to my storage on the 2nd floor in few hours.
I was moving during a heatwave and worried about delays or damage. The crew from Swift Shift Van Lines arrived early, stayed hydrated, and worked efficiently without rushing. They used protective covers to shield furniture from sun and dust and constantly checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!
The move from my third-floor apartment went better than I hoped. The guys took my heavy sectional sofa apart and carried the pieces down the narrow hallway without hitting any corners. They used thick plastic wrap to keep the cushions from getting dirty during the trip. The whole process stayed on track, and my furniture arrived in great shape.
Right after signing the contract we were funneled off to subcontractors. One in New York and another for delivery in North Carolina. The subcontractors who did the pick up swindled my son out of an additional $363.75 saying more than our 300 cubic feet was used because they couldn't stack boxes on top of furniture. However, when the moving truck arrived in North Carolina, all of the boxes were stacked on furniture in the back of the truck. Second, we paid for packing and unpacking but the guy who delivered was by himself and said he didn't have time to unpack anything. Therefore, we are owed 1/2 of the $300 packing fee.
Terrible. This is NOT a moving company, this is a broker. They are NOT up front about that. Save yourself the time, money, and effort and hire a moving company DIRECTLY, not through these scam artists.

The band of movers was really adept at splitting our furniture and boxes based on color-coded stickers we’d prepared. They didn’t mix up anything, which was a huge relief. They helped me fold my futon when I couldn’t figure out how to collapse it. The entire process was quick, efficient, and surprisingly enjoyable. Well worth every dollar.

They kept a steady pace without rushing and made sure the workday wasn't disrupted any more than necessary. The team's organization was impressive.

Swift Shift Van Lines sent a team that worked incredibly hard all morning. They carried every single box up the stairs and into the truck. I was surprised at how much they could fit in one trip. They were very cheerful and easy to talk to during the whole process.
