Moving my late grandmother's hand-painted porcelain collection and fragile glassware was very nerve-wracking for me. Packing day arrived the day before the main move with custom wardrobe packing boxes, bubble wrap by the mile and even custom crates for the delicate artwork. When we opened the boxes at our new home, even the smallest wine glass was in perfect order. They paid amazing attention to detail and eased my mind during a very stressful period of my life.
My roommate and I decided to part ways, and we both hired Swift Shift Van Lines to move our separate stuff. The band of movers was really adept at splitting our furniture and boxes based on color-coded stickers we’d prepared. They didn’t mix up anything, which was a huge relief. They helped me fold my futon when I couldn’t figure out how to collapse it. The entire process was quick, efficient, and surprisingly enjoyable. Well worth every dollar.
This was a weekend move for my wardrobe only. Clothing racks, shoe boxes, mirrors, and a vanity. The movers brought hanging boxes. Dresses stayed on hangers. Shoes stayed paired. Mirrors were padded fully. The vanity fit through the door without removing legs. I was impressed by that.
The movers packed each one using double padding and wooden crates. Customs paperwork was prepared ahead of time, avoiding any delays. Every piece arrived safely and exactly on schedule. It all worked out well!
Due to its weight and fragility, my study table required extra attention throughout its relocation. Under the leadership of William and John, the Swift Shift Van Lines team accomplished this task with ease. They expertly reassembled everything at the new site, checking that everything was operational throughout. I'm relieved that I went with them.
The layout at the new place was a bit tight, especially around the entrance. They adjusted how they carried larger furniture to get it inside without damaging the walls.
