Swift Shift Van Lines handled our cross-state move with zero issues. They arrived right on time, had tools ready for disassembly, and moved everything with care. We had a large sectional, two TVs, and a wobbly bookshelf I was nervous about. They wrapped it all up and kept it steady in the truck. The best part was how calm and organized they stayed the whole time.
Cannot review Swift Shift for moving services as they are just brokers with good sales people who tell you they are giving you a very good price because otherwise one of their trucks will be heading back to Florida empty, thus you are getting a very good deal, but you need to decide quickly. Then they make you pay 30% non-refundable deposit, which is basically their cut for booking the order. What I mostly hold them responsible for is lying to get your business and then contracting the moving companies who leave customers with long lasting frustration, disappointment, loss of trust in the good and reliable service, and damaged and lost items. In our case it was alphamovingservices.com. Once we signed the contract we were directed to the contracted moving company that told us they have their own rules. The lesson learned if we ever need to move again. But for the starters, my first piece of advice would be to hire small company or private movers who you will directly work with from start to finish and who do not make you pay deposits that are not refundable after 48 hrs of booking. Pay attention to not so bright reviews as I'm very puzzled with how Swift Shift got so many when they are not after all just a broker and not the moving company.
We did have a sectional that was able to be divided into several sections but it was difficult to get through the door. The movers were very careful to disassemble and reassemble it at the new location. All cushions and pieces were kept together.
It was Jack and Johnson who did the best work for Swift Shift Van Lines. Being honest at all times: Their skilled packing and transportation ensured the safe relocation. They worked quickly and well to finish the job.
I had a great time moving with Richardson and his team. They were wonderful, friendly, and cautious when moving my fragile things safely.
I was mostly concerned about my collection of large indoor plants because they are very sensitive to being moved around too much. The team made sure to keep the tall palms upright and wedged them in safely so they wouldn't tip over during the sharp turns on the road. I am so happy that every single leaf made it to the sunroom without any damage.
They worked faster than I expected while still paying close attention to detail. From carefully stowing each item away to taking doors off their hinges as needed, their expertise shone through in every detail.
