I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time I felt it was deserved. Richard and the rest of the crew were respectful, efficient, and easy to communicate with.
David and Max provided a comprehensive plan and ensured that every one of my possessions was securely packed and loaded onto the truck. Their communication during the journey was impeccable, consistently keeping me informed about the progress. I couldn't be more content with the level of service they delivered.
It was necessary to relocate a 2-bedroom home to NY. Swift Shift Van Lines was the greatest moving firm to hire. On the day of my relocation, the crew showed up ready to work. Before placing it on their vehicle, they wrapped every piece of furniture in blankets and tape. They took the same amount of care with my boxes. I was amazed at how skillfully they managed the move.
This move was for a home library. Floor-to-ceiling bookcases and hundreds of books. The movers removed shelves and stacked books flat. They grouped the series together without me asking. Shelves were wrapped and labeled. At delivery, everything went back up in the same order. I did not have to sort titles again. That saved me days of work.
The first thing David did when he arrived was walk through the whole apartment and make a note of everything before touching a single item. I thought that was a really thoughtful way to start because it meant nothing got missed and there were no surprises later. He kept checking in throughout the day and made sure I was happy with where things were going.
My upright freezer was the hardest part of my state-to-suburbs move. The movers wrapped it in plastic to keep fingerprints off the surface and strapped it tightly in the truck. After setting it up in the utility room, I plugged it in, and it hummed like normal. It looked the same as before the move, spotless.
The team handled our move-out from an apartment building in the busy downtown area where parking is a huge issue. The driver parked the truck well in the loading area without blocking traffic and the crew finished clearing out our unit of 2 bed units before the arranged time.
My couch was easily hauled down three flights of stairs by the movers. It didn’t have one scratch They made my work easier and less stressful.
It is rare to find a company that is this organized. Every person on the crew knew their job, and they worked together like a well-oiled machine.
