The move took four hours total from start to finish. I had a three hour window estimated so they were a little over, but I did not mind because they were careful the whole time.
We departed from an elevated structure devoid of a freight elevator. Their composure was commendable throughout what felt like an eternity to us. Because of their competence and power, I was incredibly satisfied.
Our moving experience with them was excellent. Without question, they are the city's top movers. The procedure was enjoyable because of the team's dedication and careful handling of our stuff.
Solid 5 stars from my side because the whole thing was easier than I had built it up in my head. I had about 40 small items scattered around, and I thought it would turn into a mess, but they sorted everything out without asking too many questions. They kept things moving at a steady pace, and nothing felt rushed or careless. By the end, I was just glad it all worked out so smoothly.
Don’t be fooled by this company. They are not a true moving company. They outsource all of their movers. They sweet talked me, made everything sound great, claimed I was getting a bunch of discounts, but then they ended up charging me more than quoted. They sent three guys from a local moving company called Jackson Movers. They were awful. Two of the guys didn’t speak English and the foreman, who did speak English, disappeared for most of the packing, so I couldn’t even communicate with the guys packing my stuff. The first thing they did was drop one of my expensive crystals and then claimed that is was already broken. I ended up having to pack the crystals myself because they were doing such a piss poor job. They dumped most of my things into boxes, they didn’t label any of the boxes, and they didn’t end up taking half of my stuff. I had to rent a U-Haul and tow dolly for my car and pack and load the rest of my things, which cost me an extra $1,600. Then, they didn’t show up at my house where I moved to for a week. The moving company had changed once again, and this time the movers were Champion Movers. The foreman was a lazy fat cow who only brought in a few things and then sat in his truck for the rest of the time and let two other guys unload everything. The only good thing about the unloading was a local guy they hired named Joe. He was awesome. The foreman refused to take apart my desk and move it into my office so Joe stayed behind and dismantled my desk and moved it to my office and put it back together. He then also helped me move over a dozen plastic totes to my storage shed in my backyard. The foreman refused to unload them there because he said it was more than 75 ft and would be an extra charge. I had labeled all of my crystal boxes with fragile labels, which were completely ignored, many of the boxes were upside down, crushed, or smashed. Once I started unpacking things I found a lot of broken items. This moving experience was the worst I’ve ever had. DO NOT HIRE SWIFT SHIFT MOVERS.
I moved my elderly aunt into an assisted living facility, and it was an emotional day for the family. The movers were incredibly kind and respectful. They treated her belongings with care and took extra time with her fragile keepsakes. They even helped arrange furniture in her new space. The entire team showed genuine empathy, which made the day feel significantly lighter than we expected.
We are completely pleased with our experience with Swift Shift Van Lines. From booking to the delivery of our things, we didn’t have to worry about anything since they handled it all for us. To top it off, all the boxes and cartons were clearly labelled which saved us a lot of hassle during unpacking. We had a seamless transition thanks to them. We cannot recommend them enough!
They were a first-rate crew. They were prompt, careful, and polite while packing our house. All in all, we had a great time and are glad we went with the full-service bundle and transportation. Highly recommended.
Despite traffic delays, the movers were punctual and courteous, and they kept us informed of when we should expect the delivery of our items. I would definitely get in touch with them again if I ever need their help.
I’m very thankful to Johnson and his moving squad for helping me move my office from MD to CT. They were very fast and efficient, and they made the move smooth and easy. They helped me move my heavy office chair, which was very hard to maneuver. They also moved my desk, computer, printer, and files without any issues. They were very careful with my documents and data. They packed them in folders and boxes, and they secured them with locks and passwords.
