If I could give zero stars, I would. Solomon & Sons Relocation is the most unprofessional, untrustworthy, and sleazy company I have ever dealt with. They are nothing short of thieves in every sense of the word, and I urge anyone considering them to find another alternative immediately. First off, any 5-star reviews you see are likely fake, posted by people doing the company a "favor." The reality is this company is an absolute nightmare. Here's what happened: The Pick-Up: When the movers arrived to pick up my items, they turned off the air conditioning in my Miami home, opened all the windows in the middle of the humid summer, and invited every bug and insect in the neighborhood to have a party in my house. It was beyond disgusting. But that was just the beginning. These scammers claimed there were more boxes than originally quoted, even though I knew my inventory was spot on. They added all kinds of overage fees and other bogus charges for a "transport truck" that would supposedly be 100% refundable. Spoiler alert: It wasn't. The Move-Out Process: The move-out process seemed efficient at first, but that was just a facade. At the end, the movers practically demanded a tip, asking, "How did I do?" My response? "How am I supposed to know until my furniture arrives at my new house?" And guess what? I was right not to tip them—because they DESTROYED my belongings. The Arrival: The delivery was a nightmare. They did arrive on time at first, but I had asked them to come a day later, and the only good thing about this company—the friendly customer service person—accommodated me. But then they showed up two days late anyway, four hours after the window they gave me. When they finally arrived, they demanded payment upfront via Zelle or cash—huge red flag! This is obviously to prevent you from disputing the charge when you realize they've damaged everything you own. And boy, did they damage my stuff. The Damage: Both of my brand new OLED TVs? Smashed. My TV stand? Demolished with a crater-sized chunk missing. My bed frame, desk, and office chair? Dragged across the floor, all badly scratched. They even lost the TV stand for one of my now-broken TVs. Almost left my boxes of clothing on the truck until I convinced them they were missing items. They refused to take items up the stairs, forcing me to unwrap everything myself because they were "busy" and "tired." And then they had the audacity to refuse to throw away their own packing materials, leaving me with a mess of bubble wrap, tape, and garbage. The Scams: The drivers were openly complaining about how the company screws them over, which explains their terrible attitude. They admitted to charging for "add-ons" like the unnecessary transport truck, knowing full well that people forget to request a refund. But guess what? They don’t give refunds! I have photo evidence of their full-size truck parked in front of my house, but they still denied my claim. And because I didn’t buy their overpriced insurance, they handled my belongings like trash. Their compensation? A laughable $0.10 per pound, which doesn’t even begin to cover the $5,000+ worth of damage they caused. They know people won’t follow through on such a small claim, but I will. I’m opening a lawsuit against them and spreading the word through my well-connected real estate network in Florida. Final Thoughts: Solomon & Sons Relocation is full of scammers and thieves with zero responsibility. They’ll squeeze every last cent out of you, beg for tips, and leave you with damaged or lost belongings. Do yourself a favor and run far, far away from these crooks. Your wallet and your sanity will thank you.
As others have stated the initial call and set up is great, but there is a SIGNIFICANT amount of small print around pricing which is built in such a way that you will end up paying a lot more then anticipated. The customer service that comes after that initial call is also very poor. Upon delivery the driver had already prefilled the extra costs he planned to add on before he even got out of the truck. When i said no and pushed it ended up being a negotiation. It made it clear that the staff must get commission on what extras they can tag on to the customer. - They repacked boxes I had, which lead to 'needing' more boxes i had to pay for - I had 14 stairs and because you had to step off the 14th that was extra cost - There was only 9 boxes they moved for me, and at delivery they sent a semi trailer (huge one) and if it did not fit in the driveway they wanted to charged more. - There were more than 75 steps once from the entrance to where i asked them to put these 9 boxes, that was extra - I gave them 2 weeks notice for delivery, and 2 days before on the Saturday they send me a message that they can not deliver and will need another 2 weeks. Then they could not give a day, but a range of days. So they expected me to just wait for them. After much arguing i got a range of 2 days and only the day before did they confirm. In short do not bother -

An absolutely abhorrent experience. While the staff can be polite on the phone, they don’t follow through and take zero responsibility for things clearly their fault. Some movers were hardworking; others were unprofessional and lazy. I repeatedly asked for contact info for ownership to escalate, and they refused. Day-to-day staff is apathetic and doesn’t problem solve. If the owners see this, your staff is hiding things from you and you owe me a conversation. Let’s get into the details. It took 34 days from when I gave my LA address to actually receive my stuff from Miami. They lost my dresser and showed up with a random table that wasn’t mine. Communication was awful—I had to call and text over and over because no one ever knew when delivery would happen. They’ll use text to reach you when they need something, but ignore you when you need help. One week before delivery, I called for the millionth time—only to hear, “Oh wow, your stuff hasn’t been delivered yet?” They were totally unaware. I was finally told it would come Friday or Saturday. I reminded them repeatedly I needed a delivery date to get city permits to block off parking for the truck. They said the driver would call. He didn’t call until two days before, so I couldn’t get permits. He showed up Friday, blocked cars in the street, and had zero urgency to fix the situation. Then Saturday morning, I get a text: the driver lost his wallet and couldn’t pay for the smaller “shuttle” truck. As if he’s the only one at the company with a credit card? Where was the company? It was shady. I called S&S and was told dispatch would handle it—but no one followed up. I texted the driver and got: “I can’t do [expletive] until tomorrow sorry.” Texted S&S again—nothing. Called—no answer. Left a furious voicemail—no response. They showed up Sunday at 4:30 PM after saying 1 PM. A full day late with zero communication or apology. If I treated my clients this way, I’d be fired. The driver looked visibly ill—he had to rest in the car breathing heavily. Apparently, he had been in the ER, which delayed my shipment. S&S made no effort to find a replacement. Completely negligent and heartless. Also, I was quoted ~$300 for the shuttle, then charged $600 with no explanation. Just another example of them not honoring their word. Other issues: In Miami, it took them 6 hours to load my small 1BR storage unit. One mover was on his phone most of the time while the other did all the work. The facility manager said she’d never seen a crew so slow and almost kicked them out. I also had to pay hundreds in extra storage fees. They offer 14 days free, and I gave my address within that time—but they didn’t have enough outbound volume to move to LA sooner. I had to eat the cost of their business limitations. I work in client service and would be ashamed to operate this way. But in moving, they hold your stuff hostage. You’re stuck and they know it. DO NOT hire this company. They are not professionals. You will regret it.
If there was a zero star. I would use it. Do not use them. They lie. They aren’t up front with the process. They are a bunch of brokers who talk a good game. But fall way short. They were two weeks late. They weren’t proactive in communications. We had three different moving companies assist us with the move and none of them say Solomon and Sons. They essentially are a broker company with a few trucks here and there. The last part of our move was they rented a U-Haul to deliver because they had issues with delivering to the location even after the police were involved etc. Additionally they had moved our stuff multiple times which means they touched and moved our stuff. More than likely damaged. When things went bad. They went real bad. Bad communications all around. Essentially the worse cross country move I have ever gone through. Go somewhere else if you’re doing a cross country move and pay the extra with a reputable company. These guys are not who they seem, a nightmare.

Beware ! these guys are sneaky ! We had an untruthful foreman who charged us extra to move 3 miles from one places to another - disappeared for 45 minutes with our stuff and then was drinking on the job. We complained to the company as he did not explain the paperwork we were signing was for additional charges. Customer service was no help at all - even though they admitted we were wrongfully charged for 2 additional hours of labor as well as credit card processing charges, they would not help on the wrong charges for additional boxes. I counted every box they used and they used 30 boxes less than quoted yet charged us $500 extra !!!! how insane is that ?!?!? over $4k to move us 3 miles !!! Shop somewhere else - do not make the mistake we made. **edit - and now the president of the company is claiming I was not a customer - cute.... I have credit card charges, phone call records and emails from your customer service team which proves otherwise. Proof can easily be provided-
Our expectations were met and exceeded. This is our eighth move with professional movers and Sandro and Julio are the best team we have experienced. They are professional, friendly and considerate and put their all into their work. We were also pleased with the other Solomon resources we worked with.
The men in Sarasota did a fantastic job rapping and loading the items. When it got to Texas at the arrival window the men did a great job unloading and setting up the furniture. All and all was a fantastic job by the men. Thank you
