The movers showed up on Tuesday and worked steadily until the truck was full. They used blankets to protect my television and the glass coffee table. I appreciated the fact that they did not take long breaks during the job.

It was a long drive, and we had a lot of outdoor items like our patio set and a heavy grill, plus all our holiday decorations. The crew from Safeway Moving Inc packed the lawn mower and the outdoor gear last so the dirty tires wouldn't touch our indoor furniture. They wrapped the grill in thick pads and used heavy straps to keep it from sliding. All our ornaments and decorations were cushioned well, and nothing broke during the trip. They met us at the new house the next morning, right on time. I am very happy with how carefully they handled our things.

I noticed they took extra care with the corners of my wooden dining table so it wouldn't get dinged up in the hallway. I called around and luckily Safeway Moving Inc had a crew available to help me finish moving my 2 bedroom house. They made short work of the 40 plus boxes I had stacked in the hallway and even helped me wrap my mattress at the end. I am so glad I didn't try to do this all by myself.

Read More Order #18826 – Interstate move from Florida to Missouri (Pickup: February 19, 2026) I hired Safeway Moving for my household goods, and my experience was far below expectations. • Severe Delays: My shipment was quoted over the phone by Senior Certified Moving Consultant Andrew Sinclair as “in my experience it should take 4 days,” but it actually took 13 days to arrive. My personal vehicles, shipped by a different company, arrived in 4 days. GPS tracking shows my shipment remained in Florida for 11 days, forcing my family—including a toddler—to pay for additional hotel nights • Arbitrary Volume Charges: During pickup, items were evaluated inconsistently, significantly increasing costs. For example, a small standing desk was treated as equivalent to a large, heavy wooden desk, and the assessment could not be adjusted on their device. Had this process been disclosed in advance, I could have disassembled items to reduce volume and cost. • Unprofessional Conduct & Lack of Response: Andrew Sinclair, who stated he would be my point of contact, stopped responding once concerns were raised. When I called for an update, I was told by Jonathan that, “We have 30 days to get it to you.” I was also informed that supervisors do not speak with customers by phone. A follow-up email to said Supervisors and a LinkedIn message to President Boris Svirsky went unanswered. • Discount Not Applied: A promised First Responder discount shown on the Bill of Lading was not properly applied to the final balance. • Property Damage & Smoke Odor: Several items arrived damaged, and there was a strong smoke odor upon delivery, requiring us to keep windows open in near-freezing temperatures. • Forced Abandonment: Due to a sudden $1,900 price increase and no walkthrough available before the move, I was forced to leave behind approximately $1,200 worth of furniture to stay within budget. If you are considering this company, ensure that all terms are clearly documented in writing. Be aware that Safeway does not handle the full move directly and may subcontract delivery to a third party as they did in my case. My goods were loaded and unloaded multiple times before delivery. I advised the company by email a week before posting this review. There was no response. Overall, the experience was stressful, costly, and poorly managed. Communication and accountability were virtually nonexistent. I cannot recommend Safeway Moving and would strongly caution others before using their services.
