This was a little while ago but after I commented on an advertisement about my experience with these scam artists, I figured I’d be sure I didn’t miss an opportunity to tell my story. Quoted $6,900 and on moving day for our move across the state, a Thursday, with the kids’ school starting on Monday, they showed up and said it’s going to be $12k after they apply some discounts. I had no choice. The movers were rude, the estimator, Patric, was radio silent, belongings were damaged, they became impossible to get a hold of, wouldn’t call back or email back, have since blocked me on Facebook for a comment I left on an advertisement I received, never held themselves accountable, paid out shockingly minimal amounts on damaged goods (including a China cabinet) and if you search for the true reviews out there that have been suppressed, you see how often this same treatment occurs.
I don’t know how anyone could’ve left a positive review here. Half of what they promise is just BS. Poor estimate and poor communication.
Moving from one coast to another was a daunting task, but the moving team made it seamless. They were attentive to every detail, from packing fragile items to ensuring the truck was loaded securely. Their communication was excellent, keeping me updated on the progress. The move was completed within the estimated time frame, and all my belongings were in perfect condition upon arrival.
Told me they would refund me my deposit if I took steps to help correct their account. Then after I did everything they asked (which included hours at their bank) they laughed at me and said they aren’t sending me my money back and said good luck flying to Florida to file a small claims case to sue. Awful people. Awful company. They’re very trashy.
Please go to BBB to read the reviews for this company. Their Google reviews are incorrect. I would not recommend this company. They charge you way more than what they quoted you after showing your home through a video call. They took a deposit from me to book my move date. When they showed up they told me it would be $3,000 more than the original quote after a video phone call of my house and the things I will be moving. They are very unprofessional, lack of care, and not attentive. The movers left my back door wide open, left my garage door opened, left their moving supplies around my house inside and outside of my house after they got finished packing. They only packed half of the move than what was originally stated over the video phone calls. Mr. Williams called and text me multiple times to get my services as a client when I told him I was going to use someone else; he than wanted to know more about the other company cubic square feet, binding fee, and even stated that the moving company I was going to go with doesn't own their own moving truck. Asked if the other moving company did a video call because if they did not they wouldn't know the exact price for the move and would up charge me more money up front once they arrive but which that is exactly what Safebound Moving Company did to me. What he said the other moving company will do to me. They will make you feel comfortable because of the video call for the move. Do not fall for it. They will overly charge you even after you did a video phone call showing them everything that you will be moving and the price they quoted you during the process.

The best conscientious mover's I've ever had! They were on time, I did not video my place but you can easily. I sent photo's of my most valuable piece's and discussed it over the phone. They were on time a crew of 3 and my white linen/cotton sofa was wrapped to perfection. They even asked for a broom to wipe up the second floor. Nice right? Very impressive - smooth transition, highly recommend and wouldn't use anyone else. And they deserve a good tip too!
The foreman was super rude to me and his own team. He yelled a lot and threw cardboard around the truck. I felt uncomfortable just being there, and that’s not something you want on moving day.
I am rating their customer service as a one. (I would rate the actual moving people as a 4). I was referred to them to move a grandfather clock locally. The 'estimator' CHRIS quoted $999 which included 3 hours of time for THREE people, PLUS charges for one hour of travel, a clock technician charge, and an 'operational charge.' When I asked if this was a flat rate, they said no, it was an hourly rate based on 3 hour minimum. I had no idea what was involved. I had to rely on their estimate that it would take THREE people. Clearly that was an upsell to inflate the price. But, of course I didn't know that. I was floored by the estimate so in order to be sure that it wouldn't end up costing more, I asked for a flat rate and was offered a flat $1000. The original contract had the specifics, but the document I signed only stated that a clock was being moved, without detail. When the truck showed up, there were only TWO people. Had the original quote stated two people, the cost would have been about $240 less and had I negotiated a flat rate, it would have been based on that. I emailed the original estimator person who kicked it 'upstairs.' A person (ZACK, I think) called me and was extremely rude, would not let me explain why I thought the fee was unfair, but he continued to talk over me even while I asked him to stop and listen. He continually told me I signed a contract. I maintained that the estimate and the agreed amount was based on more workers than were sent by the company; but he wouldn't listen. Even the driver could hear this guy speaking loudly and not stopping when I asked him to listen. This is poor customer service. Making a small consideration in the price would have been in order or a polite person who validated my concern. But, they had my clock on the truck and wouldn't bring it in until I paid the full amount. So, I did. I sent a follow up email and received even a ruder reply. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I feel sorry for their actual moving staff. They were polite, nice, and handled my clock carefully. However, although the person who was the clock tech handled the moving parts well and reinstalled them, I had to ask her to set the time and then after she left, it wasn't keeping time. I realized that she hadn't started the pendulum. Once that was done, it worked perfectly. Since there was a separate fee for a clock tech, wouldn't you think they would know to start the clock??
