Horrible policies, had a change in my job to where I didn't need to move and they won't give me my $750+ deposit back. No work was done and they get free money classic.

BEWARE...!! I'm unsure if this company is poorly run or if the employees are criminals. They were supposed to relocate me from TX to NY but they responded to me at the last minute and abandoned me. I won't ever suggest these unprofessional to anyone.
I've transitioned through many places but this was by far the most incredible experience. The crew arrived early - a pleasant surprise. They got to work right away and impressed me with their speed and efficiency in packing all my belongings. One of the guys knew his way around to get things in the right place. The wrapping and packing of my electronics were so tight and nothing got damaged. They made it a very stressful day go off without a hitch.
I have been waiting on my household items for almost 4 weeks and they told me it would be 7-10 days! This is absolutely unacceptable! I still don’t know if I will receive my items next week, it’s starting to get cold where I am and I don’t have any winter clothes and don’t have the money to go buy new clothes that I already have but have yet to receive them! I will never recommend this company for anyone to use.
So, I knew that I had to make a hasty move, at the last moment. I did a whirl and called this moving company which managed to fit me in even though they were booked solid. They worked quickly but didn't rush or break anything. They carefully packed my delicate belongings. They got everything done ahead of schedule. I was really AMAZED by how they dealt with my move-in emergency.
Absolutely awful experience! My grandmother is still waiting for her furniture after 1 month. It hasn't even left original pick-up location! Next to no communication despite our many efforts to get any information. I would never recommend! They take no responsibility and conveniently put it all on the people doing the actual moving. (who are also awful!)
Several of my boxes appeared to have been handled roughly during the move. I noticed some items needed extra attention when I unpacked them. I expected the movers to take more care with household belongings. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations.
We'd been told that we needed to relocate our office to a new building and it was a massive undertaking with lots of machinery and information that we needed to be careful about. The movers brought lots of packing supplies, including boxes of all sizes, crates for the electronics, and bubble wrap. Well done!
DO NOT USE - 5 things Menards won't tell you 1. They have no trucks and no drivers 2. They will, without your knowledge or permission, subcontract the work to the cheapest mover they can find - that mover may have very different terms and conditions and delivery schedule requirements than what Menards sold you. 3. If there are problems with that subcontracted mover, Menards will not do anything to help - they are unwilling or unable to have any control or influence over that subcontractor. 4. If there is a financial dispute, Menards will not provide any assistance - they are completely hands-off. 5. If they happen to subcontract to a good mover, your move may go well - but they if subcontract to a company unable to perform the work, things will go very badly- it may take two months or more to get your delivery, if you get it at all, and it may or may not be badly damaged. And your only recourse will be to go after the subcontracted mover, who may or may not have adequate insurance. Stay away - use a real moving company.
