This was an amazing moving experience, I just had to post! This team was early which was a good sign. They worked with a system that was very efficient. They covered my furniture with blankets and they even took apart some big furniture such as my dining table. They did the extra step to ensure my plants were placed in a secure location. Once they arrived at the new location, they put everything just where I wanted it.
We had to relocate across state lines, and our moving company, Menards Moving & Storage, made it easier. I was fearful of damage because we had so much furniture, boxes and fragile things! The movers packed the larger items correctly and handled all items carefully. Everything was well organized from the moment I called until I received my delivery.
So, I knew that I had to make a hasty move, at the last moment. I did a whirl and called this moving company which managed to fit me in even though they were booked solid. They worked quickly but didn't rush or break anything. They carefully packed my delicate belongings. They got everything done ahead of schedule. I was really AMAZED by how they dealt with my move-in emergency.
The best feature of working with Menards, as far as we were concerned, at least, was all the communication leading up to moving day. They explained the process, assisted in arranging the move details, and ensured I knew what to expect during the carrier.
I've just moved recently and was very happy with the service. They came on time, handled all the packing and unpacking very carefully, and did not have any problems in the process. They have very carefully picked up all of my electronics and ensured that everything was safe in the truck. What a wonderful experience and all the arrangements were so smooth, I'm so happy!
I didn't want to rely on a moving broker, but I found that the process was more comprehensible with the help of the moving company Menards Moving & Storage. Generally, they seemed interested in making the transition as smooth as possible.
These are some of the movers to consider. The crew turned up on time, respected your privacy, and were dressed in clean uniforms and arrived in a clean truck. They were very careful with packing, added extra bubble wrap and padding for my fragile items, and treated all things with such care. I was amazed at their willingness to use the correct tools to take apart my big furniture units when instead they would push them through narrow doorways. They also tidied up after themselves, sweeping up the small pieces of packing material. Really appreciated the extra effort.
I'm incredibly disappointed. Menards seemed to be great to begin with. The gal that booked my move for an out of state piano purchase was helpful and answered all of my questions and assured me there would not be additional charges. I was comfortable with my decision. They used a third party carrier who rewrote the contract with several hundreds of dollars in extra charges, with only a picture sent via text with no reply to my questions or concerns. It has been over two weeks and they still have not replied to phone calls or texts. I have no idea when my piano will be delivered. Menards has not been helpful. I didn't realize they were acting as a dispatcher, they only wanted to take what money they could, and could care less about the service or what happened after they took their 1/3 cut of the move.
One of my furniture pieces was damaged while being moved into the new home. I had expected the crew to take extra precautions with larger items. The damage was disappointing and could have been avoided with more careful handling. I was not happy with the service.
