I recommend this company

If you move with Global trans van lines, you will never use a different company ever again. They will satisfy you! Packing and loading is almost like hell, but these guys will do it for you at a very reasonable cost. On top of that, they will take care of your belongings like their own. I thought my guitar, paintings or some expensive glassware will get damaged, but nothing happened of this sort. I was successfully moved without any hiccups. I gladly recommend them to all.

Dishonesty/Fraud

I am writing this review to document serious concerns about the company’s apparent fraudulent payment practices. I initially spoke with Steve Miles and sent a check as a down payment for our move. A few days later, Mr. Miles told me that the bank had stopped payment on the check and asked me to send a replacement. Because I was concerned, I contacted my bank and learned that both checks had been cashed. I then contacted Gary in the Quality Assurance Department, whom I understood to be Mr. Miles’s supervisor. Gary stated that the company’s records showed the first check had been returned, which conflicted with both the bank’s records and the explanation I had received from Mr. Miles. I sent Gary a bank copy confirming that the first check had been cashed. I received no further response, and my money has not been returned. Given the conflicting explanations, duplicate payment, and lack of follow-up, I am concerned that the matter may involve improper payment handling or fraudulent activity by an individual in finance, Mr. Miles and Gary. I did not use this company, I moved with a better company.

Worth it to hire again!

We relocate often, every few years. We had a poor experience in our last move because of the unprofessionalism and the moving company. Our stuff was lost, damaged and broken during the move. We did not want to move again because of the poor experience we had but we had to. We ended up choosing Global trans van lines and they made us forget our past experience. Their professionalism, courtesy, disposition, speed and skills were worthy of note. Everything was packed, unpacked and moved professionally.

DAMAGE FREE MOVE

They were just excellent and their customer service chap was a genius! We were surprised to see the goods arrive early and we were worried if the goods had any damage. To our surprise we had no damage and the company has taken up the task to reach early as they were trying to make us comfortable. At our new place they never sat empty for a minute; they placed all the furniture in order and made sure the house was all set. Thanks a million for your great work. I am a fan of Global trans van lines!

Five stars without a doubt

I give them five stars without a doubt because of their excellent service. I got good services in the past from other moving companies, but Global trans van lines has given me the best. I did not have to worry because they took care of it all. The beds, the packing, the assembling and disassembling, the loose bulbs, the squeaky doors and much more! Almost everything! Great work you guys! I shall recommend you to all without a doubt!

Loved the way they handled the move

I loved the way they handled the move. Usually, other moving companies are not that professional and usually they are egoistic. But Global trans van lines is not like them. They are very professional and they are very friendly. They always have a smile on their faces and will interact with you. They want to know what you need from them. They are one of a kind. I highly recommend them for all kinds of moving services.

No issues

I don’t have any issue to stand against this moving company. There was no fracture, no missing and no hassle of moving. They ensured every moving related step and they protected our furniture by packing and putting it into proper boxes. As a result, it was a top notch moving experience for me. They worked nonstop until the last box was loaded and placed onto the truck. The skilled crews took down my heavy furniture easily from the fourth floor to the ground. Whenever I was anxious about any issue, the foreman helped me to get rid of that puzzle. I am happy with the work of Global trans van lines!

Strong and efficient

Global trans van lines has the best team. They are very strong and efficient. Nothing is too heavy for them. They moved my gym equipment so easily! I thought they would have trouble with the treadmill but they didn’t! Smooth as pie! I thank my cousin who recommended them to me. He and I both are very satisfied with their service. I too shall recommend them to all and will keep you in mind when the time comes for me to move again.

Bait-and-switch pricing, delayed delivery, and terrible customer service—avoid!

I originally chose Global Trans Van Lines because the salesperson was accommodating, assured us they were a direct carrier (not a broker), and didn't apply the high-pressure tactics that other companies used to get a deposit. Unfortunately, three weeks after our delivery, I have three major complaints: 1. Bait-and-Switch Estimate: They do not offer binding estimates. Despite a video call to account for every item and avoid surprises, the movers claimed we had an additional 200 cubic feet of belongings on moving day, adding $1,000 to our estimate. We quickly realized this extra volume was because they left chairs and desks fully assembled to take up more space. We had to dismantle the furniture ourselves with a screwdriver, reducing the overcharge to $300. Additionally, they made us write our partial payment check to a completely different company, indicating that Global Trans Van Lines likely brokered out the job despite their initial promises. 2. Severe Scheduling Delays: A specific delivery window was our top priority due to frequent work travel. The salesperson assured us that by picking up our belongings a week early, they would arrive on time. Instead, they held our items for two extra weeks and blamed us for supposedly setting up the delivery date "wrong"—even though the salesperson handled all these details. We were left without our belongings (and a place to comfortably live) for three weeks, and we had to cancel two weeks of work trips because they couldn't give us a clear delivery date. 3. Damaged Items and Ignored Claims: I was willing to overlook the delays and estimate changes, but our belongings arrived damaged, including a completely destroyed desk and shoe rack. The salesperson promised to send claim information but never did. When I emailed photos and the bill of lading noting the damage, they promised a review within 48 hours. A week later, after I followed up because I desperately needed the desk for work, they responded by asking me to resubmit the exact same information. It has been another week since I resubmitted everything, and I have received zero response or acknowledgment. In summary, the post-deposit experience has been incredibly disappointing. Once they had our money, they showed zero interest in customer service and operated exactly like the sketchy brokers they claimed not to be.

It was a perfect move

I called around 10 different moving companies and the best rate was from Global trans van lines. They had good reviews and their sales rep was very informative. He sent a great team on the moving day and he called every 30 minutes to check up on us. The moving team did a good job packing and loading. There was a different team on the other side but they were also very good. They unloaded all the things carefully and placed it in the rooms I wanted. All in all, it was a good move and thanks to them there were no damages.
