Read More Juan and Team were excellent! They took good care of our things and were very respectful. UPDATE: We just moved again and used the same team. I loved that it was Juan and the guys we knew from our last move -- they remembered us and our furniture and any special circumstances we had. We used them to pack up on the first day and then move the second day. Juan planned well so that the team could be finished bringing everything in before it rained. Throughout the move, they took great care in protecting our brand new floors and walls/ceilings, then helped us rearrange any heavy items. They were again very respectful. I highly recommend!

I had Fairfax Transfer move a grand piano from a third party home to my house in December. While the piano was moved successfully with a minimum of damage and quick resol ... Read More I had Fairfax Transfer move a grand piano from a third party home to my house in December. While the piano was moved successfully with a minimum of damage and quick resolution, the floor in the house that originally had the piano was significantly damaged by the wheels on the dolly moving the piano to the elevator due to the weight of the piano and the small footprint of the dolly’s wheels. In my opinion, this could have been avoided by putting plywood over the floor along the route to the elevator. Fairfax Transfer has dragged its feet in resolving this issue despite continuing complaints from both me and the homeowner. It has been both an embarrassment to me, and a continuing source of irritation to the homeowner, who is a longtime friend. In response to our continuing complaints, Fairfax Transfer has advised us that, BY LAW, they have up to six months to resolve any problems. This was a clear cut case of the movers causing damage that they seem reluctant to address. It is not, in my opinion, a positive example of a company interested in customer satisfaction.
