If you value your possessions, your money, and your sanity, do not hire this company. ​Our experience has been an absolute nightmare defined by negligence, breach of contract, and completely unethical business practices. ​Property Damage & Negligence: The movers showed a blatant disregard for clearly marked instructions. They stacked heavy items directly on top of boxes explicitly labeled "DO NOT STACK," crushing and destroying irreplaceable family heirlooms. ​Destruction of High-Value Items: They severely damaged my professional toolbox—a specialized, irreplaceable piece of equipment valued at $6,000. ​A Year of Bureaucratic Runarounds: For the past 12 months, I have been given the runaround by their customer service and claims departments. After exhaustive back-and-forth, we finally signed a formal settlement agreement. ​Breach of Contract: Express Movers has now officially breached our signed legal agreement by failing to pay the agreed-upon settlement amount. They are refusing to honor their own contract. ​Hostage Fees: To make matters worse, during the actual move, they attempted to hold my possessions hostage, demanding additional, un-contracted money before they would complete the delivery. ​This is not just a case of a "bad move." This is a company that operates with a complete lack of integrity, ignores basic moving protocols, holds customer property for ransom, and refuses to honor legally binding settlement agreements. ​Save yourself the devastation and the legal headache.
