Read More While the moving team to pick up my son's furniture and boxes was good, I specifically mentioned to the supervisor that the delivery was taking place in a gated community and would not accept trailers. The transport company Cobra Van Lines hired to actually ship my son's furniture and boxes from their storage facility in New Jersey to my son's apartment in Florida was in fact a trailer and therefore had to pay extra for a shuttle to move in the furniture. Upon arrival at my son's apartment, there was a huge hole in the TV stand, the coffee table was completed shattered and the vacuum cleaner was missing. I would not recommend this company at all.

Read More We went through Safe Ship to coordinate our move from New Orleans to Oregon. Safe Ship contracted with Cobra Van Lines and that's where it all went terribly wrong. I don't even know how to stress enough that you should not use Cobra Van Lines. The driver did his best to try to exhort additional money from us stating that the gradual steps to our front door were unsafe for his Craigslist hired team. He threatened to not leave our belongings, and charge us for storing them an additional day(s). We were told if one of the team got injured we were willing to pay their medical bills. His three hired people also asked us repeatedly for more money. The one man told us that the driver wasn't paying them enough. That 'the driver told them to ask us'. The experience was surreal, intimidating, and scary. Our furniture was damaged, wood floors in the house scraped, a wrought iron 98 year old gate at the front of the house broken; Jewelry, power tools, and more were stolen. Countless items broken. We've moved 11 times and this was by far the worst experience we've ever experienced. Please save yourself the pain, the distress, and the money wasted and do not hire Cobra Van Lines. Ask any company such as Simply Safe if they contract with Cobra. I've spent 3 months trying to get some type resolution. No one deserves to be treated like we were. Follow up - I placed my claim for stolen items & damages to our goods & property. I placed my claim in Feb. & it's May & I've not received a payment yet. Claims dept. closed until 1pm in the afternoon. I've dealt with Andrea on this claim. She doesn't answer emails & finally I reached her today which wasn't easy. Her extension number didn't work. If anyone needs to attend a customer service class it's her. As I wrote before, stay clear of this company. It's been shy of 6 months of hell dealing with what happened to us. I suspect our refund will be another blow once we (or if we) receive our check.

Read More I recently used their services to move my household from Boston to Illinois. To start, I felt they were expensive, but thought that it is the price I pay for my peace of mind. My friend helped me receive the goods into my home as I was out of country then. When return, I see that one of the major item was visibly missing, a 65” Samsung qled tv. Later I also noticed that a new singer sewing machine was as also missing. Looks like boxes whose contents can be known and expensive items are missing.. I have raised a case, but has not progressed.. I wouldn’t recommend this company.. even more, choose pods services (U-Haul, pods, may be other companies offer), they are much safer as you lock pods. They are much cheaper..

Read More I was nervous about moving all of my belongings across the country, but when I met Ricardo I immediately stopped worrying. He and Freddie did an amazing job preparing my furniture for the move--better, in fact, than I could have imagined. All of my belongings were treated with care and my furniture was wrapped very carefully. Ricardo even hand-carried a bureau that was fragile, though it would have been easier to use the dolly. The two of them were a fabulous team: I can't recommend them highly enough.

Moving is always stressful, but Piece of Cake took the stress out from the move. They truly made it a “piece of cake.” Highly recommend this company and their smooth and simple process of making moving easier!
