To make lifting safer, they weighed each box on a digital scale to ensure no box was overweight.

I pointed out some delicate tea sets I inherited from my mother, and they carefully wrapped them in layers of packing paper. I also had this heavy wooden armoire that needed to be maneuvered out of a tight hallway. They measured everything first and moved it slowly so as not to scratch the paint on the walls. They worked quietly and efficiently, as if they’d been doing this all their lives. I could hardly believe how easy it was.

The crew expertly disassembled it, placing all the screws and connectors in a Ziploc bag taped to one of the headboard pieces. They also used padding to protect the shelves themselves from shifting around. Once we reached my new place, they reassembled it quickly, verifying each screw was in the right spot. They asked if I wanted the headboard flush against the wall or slightly angled. It felt like having a personal concierge for my furniture.
