Amex Moving & Storage was fantastic the first time I used them. Arriving quickly, Javier and his crew were wonderful to work with because they were careful with everything and worked efficiently. I will most certainly choose them again.
Their preliminary evaluation was meticulous, with team members making extensive notes about everything that would need to be relocated. They gave a thorough quote that they stuck to throughout the project. They showed up on moving day on time and ready to work with a full toolset.
We recently used Amex moving and Storage to move my daughter from NYC to Orlando FL. Was quoted $3,500.00 for a tiny one bedroom apartment. The movers showed up at her Apartment as scheduled and then the nightmare began. Driver had to park another 100' away so his office immediately called telling me only 75' from truck to front door is included. I said fine, charge me for the additional distance. Then they made it up to the apartment and said they didn't have a mattress cover included in the price and i would have to pay extra, then they said they wouldn't move TV's in the boxes they came in that they had to use their own crate and that would be extra, and then they said mirrors would cost extra and then they said that lamps need a special cover and that would be extra. I told the lady on the phone that i felt that this was one big bait and switch exercise and that i felt i was being taken advantage of. She immediately threatens to leave and tell her drivers to leave. I said no, i don't have time to start all over again and we had a deadline to be out of the apartment, plus they had my $700.00 deposit. She said for the extras it would be another $1,000.00. I was in shock. That is one third the amount of the entire move. I agree because they have me bent over a barrel. So now they get to Orlando a week or so later and the disaster starts all over again. Did i mention they demand Cash only at delivery so i had to get $3,900.00 in cash the day before arrival. They arrive at the house and now demand the Cash without allowing us to inventory or inspect the items. The driver get the crazy lady on the phone and she starts yelling and screaming at my wife and me and telling the drivers to just leave. Finally one of the movers opens the truck to allow us to make sure all of our stuff is there but still wont unpack it. Now she is yelling at him telling him not to do it. We finally resolve with the drivers and get our stuff, but it was an absolute nightmare. These people are crooks and will take advantage of you. I highly recommend you stay clear of this company. We have moved several times and have never been treated like this and have never paid Cash. Run fast and far from these folks.
Solid 5 stars for the team. I was mostly worried about my hardwood floors getting scuffed up, but they were very mindful and used floor runners the whole time.
Expert movers from Amex Moving & Storage are reliable, courteous, and quick to respond. They expertly relocated my belongings while meticulously wrapping each one. In addition, they gave me specialized storage containers for my knitwear. A perfect score of five stars is very appropriate!
They immediately laid down protective runners over our newly vacuumed carpets, demonstrating their concern for the property of their customers.
Even though I was really anxious about the impending move, everything went off without a hitch on moving day. They took the stress out of the process because the guys are so kind, helpful, and diligent. I plan on reusing them.
Moving can be daunting, but they made it effortless. They handled all my belongings carefully, ensuring their safe arrival at my new place. Before departing, they conducted a thorough check to confirm everything was in its right place. I'm highly satisfied with their assistance in making my move smooth.
You should definitely consider these guys if you have a lot of random items that are hard to pack. They organized the truck so well that we actually had some extra space left over at the end. The move was very cautious on the road and made sure our belongings arrived safely. I am very happy with the price and the overall quality of the service we received today.
We had a great experience moving our one-bedroom apartment across the state. The three movers were exceptionally polite and energetic. They took apart the bed frame and put it back together at the new place perfectly. They even asked where I wanted the heavy boxes in the kitchen. I highly recommend them to everyone.
