My first experience hiring movers with this company set high expectations. Their helpful and stress-free approach made the move a breeze.
I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
Our setup move involved heavy desks and computer systems. The movers packed everything carefully and labeled boxes for easy setup. By the next morning, the setup was ready for work.
This is my initial move with Amex Moving & Storage. Both of my movers arrived promptly, worked quickly, were courteous, and did a great job. Every single item of furniture and personal possession was painstakingly wrapped and packed. This is a company that I fully support.
It was such a pleasant surprise to have them help me out on the busiest day of the year, and I will always be appreciative of how quickly and smoothly you handled my move.
The team handled the move with patience and good planning. They made sure the furniture was properly protected before it was loaded onto the truck. Fragile household items received additional care during transportation. The unloading was completed smoothly at the destination. Everything was managed in an organized way.

My wife and I can't say enough about Amex Moving & Storage. The front office was a pleasure to work with and the crew that was sent to move our belongings was outstanding. I never saw four young men (Henry, kendry, Javier and Vicente) work so hard as they did. They were a "machine!" The move took just under 12 hours to complete and they busted their tails to the very end. They were very knowledgeable in dismantling our electronics, beds, shelving, etc. and reassembling everything perfectly. As the crew left one of the young men said, "tell your friends about us!" We most certainly will. Thank you once again!
Amex Moving & Storage handled my mom's move. She kept changing her mind about where to put furniture. Instead of rolling their eyes, they just moved it again. That kind of patience goes a long way in stressful times.
