I cannot speak highly enough of the service that Amex Moving & Storage Movers provides. Our new home has quite steep stairs, yet they managed to get everything in there without a scratch. They completed the job in the allotted time and at a fair price.
I was hesitant about moving my collection of artwork, including large canvases and delicate sculptures. However, the team handled everything with exceptional care, using high-quality packing materials for security. When I arrived, I was overjoyed to see everything undamaged!
The movers made a great impression right from the start. They came with clean uniforms, a well-marked truck, and the right equipment. This was a cross-town move for my family of five. They carried three beds, a big sofa, and about 40 boxes without damaging anything. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. The whole job was finished earlier than promised.
Amex Moving & Storage worked around our schedule, showed up early, and kept everything running on time. I liked how clear their communication was. Malvin checked in along the way and made sure delivery happened exactly when we needed it. They helped keep everything stress-free.
I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
Recently, I used them for a short-notice move, and they were quite helpful throughout the whole process. There were no challenging tasks. Excellent work all around.
Javier showed such professionalism during the move. He guided the team, answered my questions, and even made sure fragile items were double-checked. Having him in charge made me completely trust the process.
I'm giving them 5 stars for communication alone. The office sent text updates. The crew leader, Juan, called me 30 minutes before arrival. At the new place, he confirmed the room layout with me twice. Everyone knew the plan. We moved a king bed, two dressers, and a large sectional sofa. Everything went where it was supposed to.
I moved from a second-floor unit into a smaller space nearby, and most of my furniture was old and awkwardly shaped. I had a long dresser and a metal bed frame that I couldn't disassemble on my own. The movers came prepared with tools and figured it all out without damaging anything. They even helped place the bed exactly where I needed it in the new place.
This moving company was a lifesaver for my long-distance move. The team was punctual, organized, and skilled. They disassembled and reassembled my furniture with ease. The final cost was exactly as quoted, and they provided an exceptional service.
