The movers helped me get a treadmill and an elliptical from my garage into the new house. Those machines are heavy, but they handled them like pros. I'm glad I didn't try that myself.
What I liked the most was how they dealt with my constant questions. I tend to overthink during moves, but they answered everything patiently without getting irritated. There were around 18 boxes, and each one was placed where I asked without any confusion. That kind of attention made the whole experience feel more comfortable.
This company pays for fake reviews and doesn't allow any negative reviews to stay on any platform. All of their reviews are fake. Do not recommend whatsoever. My family and I used AMEX moving when moving from Connecticut to North Carolina in August. At first all seemed well, and things were packed up completely. Items were combined from different rooms at the time and scattered into random boxes but we did not mind. We actually had a 5 star review up for this company until a few days ago. Which I should also note that the employee who was in charge of all our paperwork actually asked me to write the 5 star review and submit it right in front of her, which is why it was posted immediately and up for several months. However, now several months later we are opening up all the boxes as we finally moved into our final location, and several items are damaged and lost. My mother had several boxes of decorative plants, most of which were forcibly shoved into boxes with no paper or wrapping, resulting in them snapping in half or losing majority of their leaves/flowers. Almost all had to be thrown out We are also missing a box with a large set of crystal drinking glasses, and who knows what else was in that box. But worst of all, we are missing all of my childhood toys. I have been collecting stuffed animals since I was a little girl, and the entire set, which I had packed myself, left just for AMEX to move, is missing. Along with that, my DISNEY Lego collection which is probably worth hundreds on top of the many Disney plushies already gone is also missing. After calling the company to ask for help, not even compensation or anything, just because I would like my lost items if they have them, I was given the number to file a claim. Mind you claims are only valid 9 months from the move date, and if you know all the items within the missing boxes (pretty convenient that they mixed around items from our household into each box so we have no idea what is in each one). Complaining or asking for compensation is the last thing my family is looking for, we just want our lost items back, but it is extremely disappointing we are missing all these items in the first place. Would not recommend and I am extremely upset with the service.
These guys were AWESOME, from the sale team to customer service to the crew that showed up to do the actual moving service. My team was Henry Kendry and Javier. They were awesome. I LOVE everything about this company. This was my first time moving cross country and i will do it again with my eyes close with Amex. I am so glad I chose them over the other companies. Highly recommended for long distance moves 👍👍
I wholeheartedly recommend this company! From the initial phone conversation until the relocation day, they communicated well. The entire crew was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The relocation was rapid and efficient. Most notably, compared to previous movers, they were extremely cautious and took great care in transporting our stuff. It truly provided us with peace of mind.
I only needed to move items from a storage unit to my new house. The movers contacted me the day before to confirm the unit layout, arrived with a box dolly and straps, and moved everything quickly without damaging the hallway walls or the doorframe. The entire job took less than 6 hours and it was a great experience!
My super king bed and double-door closet were dismantled in record time, and I had no trouble at all getting my items into the truck once Amex Moving & Storage had finished emptying the living room, kitchen, and two other rooms in about three hours.
Our long-distance move from the coast inland meant my surfboards had to make the trip safely. The movers slid each board into padded covers and stored them against the truck wall to prevent bending. When they were brought inside, I checked for dings, but there weren’t any. I appreciated the extra steps to protect something I use every weekend.
We had a great experience moving our one-bedroom apartment across the state. The three movers were exceptionally polite and energetic. They took apart the bed frame and put it back together at the new place perfectly. They even asked where I wanted the heavy boxes in the kitchen. I highly recommend them to everyone.
I'm giving them 5 stars for communication alone. The office sent text updates. The crew leader, Juan, called me 30 minutes before arrival. At the new place, he confirmed the room layout with me twice. Everyone knew the plan. We moved a king bed, two dressers, and a large sectional sofa. Everything went where it was supposed to.
