I hired Amex Moving & Storage to move my office furniture from one building to another downtown. The desks and filing cabinets were heavy and awkward to carry, but the team never complained once. They even set everything back up in the new space so I could start working the same day without doing any extra lifting myself.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company! From the initial phone conversation until the relocation day, they communicated well. The entire crew was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The relocation was rapid and efficient. Most notably, compared to previous movers, they were extremely cautious and took great care in transporting our stuff. It truly provided us with peace of mind.
I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
The movers showed up on time and handled all of my furniture with care. They stayed organized and made the whole process much less stressful. I'm very happy with how everything turned out and would gladly use them again.
I scheduled a same day move after finding a last minute rental. I did not have time to pack properly. The movers brought extra boxes and tape with them. They helped me pack my kitchen items and sealed everything securely. They kept track of smaller bags and did not leave anything behind. By evening, all my belongings were inside the new apartment and arranged room by room.
The team was professional, efficient, and made the entire moving process easy to manage. My belongings were handled with care and delivered safely without any issues. Great communication and reliable service from start to finish.

I was worried about the fabric sofa when it started to rain while the transfer was happening. The movers wasted no time in applying a second layer of waterproof material to ensure its cleanliness and protection from moisture. Undoubtedly the finest!
