Excellent service
My wife and I can't say enough about Amex Moving & Storage. The front office was a pleasure to work with and the crew that was sent to move our belongings was outstanding. I never saw four young men (Henry, kendry, Javier and Vicente) work so hard as they did. They were a "machine!" The move took just under 12 hours to complete and they busted their tails to the very end. They were very knowledgeable in dismantling our electronics, beds, shelving, etc. and reassembling everything perfectly. As the crew left one of the young men said, "tell your friends about us!" We most certainly will. Thank you once again!

extremely helpful and pleasant
I scheduled a same day move after finding a last minute rental. I did not have time to pack properly. The movers brought extra boxes and tape with them. They helped me pack my kitchen items and sealed everything securely. They kept track of smaller bags and did not leave anything behind. By evening, all my belongings were inside the new apartment and arranged room by room.

Good experience
This was my first time using professional movers and AMEX Moving made the experience seamless! We packed our clothes and small items ourselves prior to moving day but Amex Moving did the rest - carefully wrapping our furniture, Frame TV, and disassembling and re-assembling our bed frame with their own tools. Everything arrived safely and with no damage! We have two small dogs and the team made our pups feel safe and gave us more time to tend to them during a process that can be scary to two small Italian greyhounds. Can't recommend this service enough and will definitely be using them again for our future moves!

The whole experience was so pleasant
The crew carried antiques, boxes of books, and a heavy dresser without rushing. They asked questions and placed everything where it belonged. That meant a lot. Good Job Done...

Avoid this company at all costs.
When looking for movers I fell for the AMEX scam, thinking their glowing reviews were real when they are not. I had incorrectly assumed this was a company with its own intake, movers, and drivers, instead Michelle acts as logistics working with outside contractors. During our intake call with Patrick (who is a sales broker NOT an AMEX employee), I provided a detailed itemized list of everything in the move (including dimensions for furniture) with video and photos. We were quoted 960 cubic feet at around $8k for a full pack and move. We paid the deposit and were told we would receive our items in our move-in date, which was a LIE. Additionally, we were not told upfront that the last two payments had to be in money orders. On the day of the move, Austin showed up with 2 men in an AMEX truck. Though they all had AMEX shirts, it was clear that Austin was a contractor that had then found 2 people to work with him. After his walk through, Austin told us we were under quoted and said we needed at least 1500, which would take us to $12k. We were obviously upset and immediately called Michelle. She was absolutely no help in the situation, pretending not to understand why we would be mad at suddenly having to pay $4k more. Having no choice, we went on with the packing and move. It took the 3 men 11 hours. And, as we would find out later why, we ended up having to leave behind 8 pieces of furniture because we would have needed even more space in the truck. We had to scramble to sell things and lost so much money doing so. During this day of hell, we were also told that we would NOT be receiving our items on our move in day - that they have to wait for a truck to be going that direction to put our stuff on. Had we been told that before, we would have been more strategic in what we did NOT pack and to keep with us! We had to continually call and text Michelle for updates as to where our stuff was, because, we had put AirTags in some boxes we knew they hadn’t left yet. At our new home, we had to buy air mattresses and other essentials while we waited two weeks for our stuff to arrive. We also had to buy almost all new furniture. Not only was the move itself overly expensive, we ended up spending thousands more to replace to furniture we had to leave behind. The 2 men who arrived with our belongings, were also clearly contractors. While unloading, they continually mentioned how lightweight the boxes were, how many of the boxes were misshaped because they were not full, and how certain materials were placed in the wrong boxes. They asked if we had packed ourselves and were shocked to hear we had paid AMEX for packing. As we began to unpack, we found that at least 75% of the boxes were half full. Meaning, our items would have taken up less space if the boxes had actually been packed to capacity. This is a complete SCAM and utterly unacceptable. We also found broken glassware, broken mirrors, bent books, and other damaged objects, because, again, the boxes were not packed correctly. This horrible packing cost us thousands of dollars in cubic square feet. This “company” is, at its core, dishonest. They scam you into thinking they are legitimate, when in fact, no one, except Michelle, actually works at AMEX.

Awesome!
They knew exactly how to handle our houseplants. They had a different section in the truck with adjustable straps to keep the plants upright. They watered them before and after the move, so they didn’t wilt.

They handled all my stuff with care
I had a lot of bulky items to move, such as my dumbbells and elliptical machine. These movers were really strong and got everything loaded up with ease. These guys are good.

Everything went smoothly
The crew showed up on a Tuesday morning and started loading the truck right away. I had a lot of loose items in the hallway that needed to be moved. They handled the boxes and placed them in the specific rooms I pointed out earlier. The team stayed until the job was finished late in the afternoon. My furniture arrived at the house in the same shape as it was before.
