Our house has antique furniture that needs careful attention. The moving crew expertly handles fragile items, meticulously dismantling and labeling each component for precise reassembly. Before loading a historic cabinet, Javier cleaned and polished it. They ensured nothing was scratched or broken, securely fastening every piece with specialized cushioning. Within 30 minutes of the packers and their supervisor arriving I was told that I had much more than was listed and I would be charged an additional $1600. She said this without any evidence of any items that were not listed. This is after going over the list of items three times with the agent, even adding items. Moving is stressful and I am not young. I felt that I was being taken advantage of, moving day, house was sold! I had a melt down and told her that it was not right. She did not charge me and acted like she was doing me a favor, repeating, 'now are you happy'. They were not honest about all of the transfers to other trucks to transport my belonging to storage. When my things finally arrived at my new address, the truck did not even look road worthy and had leaked during the trip, staining furniture. Some of the boxes that arrived no longer had square corners. It was the worse moving experience I have ever encountered and would never recommend them.
They were highly skilled and quickly disassembled and reassembled our furniture. All of the things arrived undamaged. They were all really professional and worked tirelessly to ensure that our move went off without a hitch.
I just moved into my first place and only had furniture, no boxes of stuff. I hired Amex Moving & Storage just to haul the big items. I had a heavy metal desk and a giant TV cabinet I couldn't lift alone. The two young guys who showed up were full of energy and very careful with the freshly painted walls in the new apartment. They worked quickly, and the entire move was finished in less than two hours.
The movers made a great impression right from the start. They came with clean uniforms, a well-marked truck, and the right equipment. This was a cross-town move for my family of five. They carried three beds, a big sofa, and about 40 boxes without damaging anything. Everything was placed exactly where we wanted it. The whole job was finished earlier than promised.
This team did a great job with my belongings when I moved into my new place. They spent several hours loading the truck and made sure to secure the loose items, so nothing shifted on the road. I stayed in the driveway while they worked, and they just kept a steady pace until the house was empty. My stuff all got to the new house in the same condition as when it left the old place.
These movers provided a service that was excellent in every way. They took a boring and unpleasant task and made it much more bearable for me. I am quite proud of how the team of Amex Moving & Storage performed the task.
Cherish them. They work at a breakneck pace without adding unnecessary stress, setting them apart from other movers. They are the first ones I've ever hired. Kendry and his crew were fantastic this time around. I highly recommend it!
I am writing this because I was super impressed with the specialized piano skid they used. Most movers just try to wing it, but Amex Moving & Storage came prepared with the right equipment and plenty of moving blankets. They didn't even leave a scuff on the hardwood floors while moving that beast of an instrument. It’s rare to see that kind of expertise these days.
