I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
The staff performed an excellent job of moving my belongings without scratching or denting anything. Both movers were kind and helpful, which helped the process go smoothly. I appreciate it, Amex Moving & Storage.
The team was respectful of our new neighbors. They were aware of parking and noise levels, ensuring a smooth move without causing any disruptions.
Since our move had to take place on a Sunday, we were worried that no businesses would be open. Not only did they accommodate our needs, but they also showed there early and worked nonstop. They did not even tack on a weekend fee. Very affordable and very trustworthy.
We had to move a couple of heavy items which would not have been easily moved by hand. The movers did a great job and handled the heavier items properly.
Trouble-free relocation. Even though my move took longer than expected, all my belongings arrived safely. I recommend them without reservation since they are the finest.
The team helped me unload a few boxes at my new residence. Throughout, I was confident that my belongings were in capable care.
Amex Moving & Storage worked around our schedule, showed up early, and kept everything running on time. I liked how clear their communication was. Malvin checked in along the way and made sure delivery happened exactly when we needed it. They helped keep everything stress-free.
