When you're seeking a crew that handles your heavy oak furniture and electronics like their own, this is the crew for you! They carried our heavy marble dining table, as well as custom-made crates for our large-screen TVs. They even adjusted the leveling of the refrigerator and washing machine in our laundry room before they left. This level of service is hard to find these days.
My transition to the new apartment was handled with a lot of care by the entire crew. Amex Moving & Storage made sure that all of the boxes were placed in the correct rooms, so I didn't have to move them again later.
My wife and I can't say enough about Amex Moving & Storage. The front office was a pleasure to work with and the crew that was sent to move our belongings was outstanding. I never saw four young men (Henry, kendry, Javier and Vicente) work so hard as they did. They were a "machine!" The move took just under 12 hours to complete and they busted their tails to the very end. They were very knowledgeable in dismantling our electronics, beds, shelving, etc. and reassembling everything perfectly. As the crew left one of the young men said, "tell your friends about us!" We most certainly will. Thank you once again!
I was amazed at how well this moving and storage company did their job. Much extra work was done to ensure everything was moved and packed safely. I definitely recommend this service if you don’t want any problems when moving. The crew showed up and immediately got to work on the heavy boxes that I couldn't lift by myself. They kept the truck clean and tidy while they organized our possessions for the trip. It was much faster than I expected, and they didn't take any long breaks. Amex Moving & Storage provides a solid service for a price that actually makes sense for a normal person.
I was sure my mattress could never go through the narrow spiral staircase at the new house. After a quick look, the movers managed to get the angle just right. It was like watching a real-life Tetris game. Neither the mattress nor the walls got scratched during the lift. The smoothness of the move still surprises me. For tough moves, I highly recommend these guys!
I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
Juan helped me take apart my bed frame because I couldn't get the screws loose on my own. It was a huge relief to have someone there who had the right tools and just handled it without any fuss. Thanks for the great move.
