I had a heavy dresser and a full-size bed that I thought would be a nightmare, but they managed it with patience. They didn't bump the walls or rush through anything. The crew showed up on a Tuesday morning and started loading the truck right away. I had a lot of loose items in the hallway that needed to be moved. They handled the boxes and placed them in the specific rooms I pointed out earlier. The team stayed until the job was finished late in the afternoon. My furniture arrived at the house in the same shape as it was before.

Do not recommend whatsoever. My family and I used AMEX moving when moving from Connecticut to North Carolina in August. At first all seemed well, and things were packed up completely. Items were combined from different rooms at the time and scattered into random boxes but we did not mind. We actually had a 5 star review up for this company until a few days ago. Which I should also note that the employee who was in charge of all our paperwork actually asked me to write the 5 star review and submit it right in front of her, which is why it was posted immediately and up for several months. However, now several months later we are opening up all the boxes as we finally moved into our final location, and several items are damaged and lost. My mother had several boxes of decorative plants, most of which were forcibly shoved into boxes with no paper or wrapping, resulting in them snapping in half or losing majority of their leaves/flowers. Almost all had to be thrown out We are also missing a box with a large set of crystal drinking glasses, and who knows what else was in that box. But worst of all, we are missing all of my childhood toys. I have been collecting stuffed animals since I was a little girl, and the entire set, which I had packed myself, left just for AMEX to move, is missing. Along with that, my DISNEY Lego collection which is probably worth hundreds on top of the many Disney plushies already gone is also missing. After calling the company to ask for help, not even compensation or anything, just because I would like my lost items if they have them, I was given the number to file a claim. Mind you claims are only valid 9 months from the move date, and if you know all the items within the missing boxes (pretty convenient that they mixed around items from our household into each box so we have no idea what is in each one). Complaining or asking for compensation is the last thing my family is looking for, we just want our lost items back, but it is extremely disappointing we are missing all these items in the first place. Would not recommend and I am extremely upset with the service.
The movers from Amex Moving & Storage made my move so easy. They handled my furniture like pros and packed the truck neatly. When they arrived, they unloaded everything just as carefully. They even asked where I wanted each box. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. I’m super happy with their service.
I had a difficult time due to my moving date changing last minute. The team was understanding and used the new timetable. Sometime on moving day, they were ready and they managed to load everything efficiently. I was thankful for their flexibility and professionalism.
I am writing this because I was super impressed with the specialized piano skid they used. Most movers just try to wing it, but Amex Moving & Storage came prepared with the right equipment and plenty of moving blankets. They didn't even leave a scuff on the hardwood floors while moving that beast of an instrument. It’s rare to see that kind of expertise these days.
