I moved into a fourth-floor apartment with no elevator. I thought the stairs would slow everything down, but the movers powered through and carried all my furniture up without a single complaint.

I had a really good experience with Amex Moving & Storage last Tuesday. I was worried about my large mirror and some artwork, but the guys handled everything with a lot of care. It is such a relief to have all my fragile items in the new house without a single crack.
Amex Moving & Storage was fantastic the first time I used them. Arriving quickly, Javier and his crew were wonderful to work with because they were careful with everything and worked efficiently. I will most certainly choose them again.
I am changing my original review which was only on pickup not the entire process. I moved from NY to Florida. I researched different moving companies and compare it to moving myself. The POD didn’t have the size I needed. AMERISAFE gave me a great discount that equaled to the cost of renting a U-HAUL truck one way. But their service included loading and unloading the truck. The other companies were comparable without the discount. AMERISAFE is a broker an outsource to a moving company which you won’t be aware of to review. They outsource the people to unload and load the items. There were 2 issues that resulted because of this: delivery date and requirements of accessibility for the truck. Initially I was told when the items are picked up it will be delivered within 4 days however it took 2 weeks and I didn’t receive 24 hour notice. I requested to be informed when the items were on the way but didn’t get one. I put an AirTag in one of the boxes which is how I was able to track it. The other issue was I had to make sure that the place can accommodate an18 wheeler. I had to switch my storage unit to ensure that the truck has access or I would be charge $500 for shuttling my item. My stuff was loaded/unloaded 4 times before it came to me. When the items finally arrived, some boxes were damaged and some storage bins were broken. I haven’t had a chance to go through the items to see if anything was broken but that isn’t covered by them since I packed it myself. I can’t compare them to any others but what I know now I would of drove my items down myself.
The crew made sure to use padded covers for doorway frames and banisters when moving heavy furniture around in the house. The freshly painted walls had no marks or scuffs on them.
These movers succeeded in doing the unthinkable. Our long-distance relocation went smoothly because of their experience.
The crew showed up on a Tuesday morning and started loading the truck right away. I had a lot of loose items in the hallway that needed to be moved. They handled the boxes and placed them in the specific rooms I pointed out earlier. The team stayed until the job was finished late in the afternoon. My furniture arrived at the house in the same shape as it was before.
