I selected Amex for its high ratings however, my experience has not been the same. Once they arrived to perform the mace they charged me double the amount. The few boxes they packed got items damaged and my white couch was super dirty. I recommend getting someone that does in person or virtual quotes.
These guys were real pros and worked hard from the second they started. I'm happy with how the whole day turned out. If you need a reliable moving company, Amex Moving & Storage is the one to call!
I have a small garden, and moving all my potted plants was something I was really worried about. Amex Moving & Storage movers took special care, placing each pot into a custom crate to keep them from tipping over. They provided extra padding to protect the more delicate plants. When we arrived, they unloaded the garden items first, ensuring they got some sunlight as quickly as possible. Not a single plant was damaged, and their attention to such small details really made my day.
Since I had to move quickly, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a job that could fit my schedule. They managed everything expertly and adjusted their timetable to accommodate me. The movers were efficient, punctual, and careful with all my belongings.
This company pays for fake reviews and doesn't allow any negative reviews to stay on any platform. All of their reviews are fake. Do not recommend whatsoever. My family and I used AMEX moving when moving from Connecticut to North Carolina in August. At first all seemed well, and things were packed up completely. Items were combined from different rooms at the time and scattered into random boxes but we did not mind. We actually had a 5 star review up for this company until a few days ago. Which I should also note that the employee who was in charge of all our paperwork actually asked me to write the 5 star review and submit it right in front of her, which is why it was posted immediately and up for several months. However, now several months later we are opening up all the boxes as we finally moved into our final location, and several items are damaged and lost. My mother had several boxes of decorative plants, most of which were forcibly shoved into boxes with no paper or wrapping, resulting in them snapping in half or losing majority of their leaves/flowers. Almost all had to be thrown out We are also missing a box with a large set of crystal drinking glasses, and who knows what else was in that box. But worst of all, we are missing all of my childhood toys. I have been collecting stuffed animals since I was a little girl, and the entire set, which I had packed myself, left just for AMEX to move, is missing. Along with that, my DISNEY Lego collection which is probably worth hundreds on top of the many Disney plushies already gone is also missing. After calling the company to ask for help, not even compensation or anything, just because I would like my lost items if they have them, I was given the number to file a claim. Mind you claims are only valid 9 months from the move date, and if you know all the items within the missing boxes (pretty convenient that they mixed around items from our household into each box so we have no idea what is in each one). Complaining or asking for compensation is the last thing my family is looking for, we just want our lost items back, but it is extremely disappointing we are missing all these items in the first place. Would not recommend and I am extremely upset with the service.

I had a collection of delicate wine glasses that I was super anxious about, but they individually wrapped each one and packed them in a custom-sized box with dividers. My oversized mirror was double-wrapped in padding, and they secured the corners with special foam protectors. The team worked like a well-oiled machine, never wasting a second. At my new house, they assembled my bed frame and adjusted my wobbly nightstand before placing it down. It felt like they genuinely cared about my belongings, which made all the difference.
They knew exactly how to handle our houseplants. They had a different section in the truck with adjustable straps to keep the plants upright. They watered them before and after the move, so they didn’t wilt.
The crew was fantastic. They offered reasonable prices and were a real joy to deal with. They were friendly and fast. The move was quick and smooth, and the whole process did not take long. I recommend them to anybody.
The moving crew arrived right on schedule and immediately got to work. They handled every box and piece of furniture with great care. Everything arrived safely, and the entire move was completed without any stress.
