We recently used Amex moving and Storage to move my daughter from NYC to Orlando FL. Was quoted $3,500.00 for a tiny one bedroom apartment. The movers showed up at her Apartment as scheduled and then the nightmare began. Driver had to park another 100' away so his office immediately called telling me only 75' from truck to front door is included. I said fine, charge me for the additional distance. Then they made it up to the apartment and said they didn't have a mattress cover included in the price and i would have to pay extra, then they said they wouldn't move TV's in the boxes they came in that they had to use their own crate and that would be extra, and then they said mirrors would cost extra and then they said that lamps need a special cover and that would be extra. I told the lady on the phone that i felt that this was one big bait and switch exercise and that i felt i was being taken advantage of. She immediately threatens to leave and tell her drivers to leave. I said no, i don't have time to start all over again and we had a deadline to be out of the apartment, plus they had my $700.00 deposit. She said for the extras it would be another $1,000.00. I was in shock. That is one third the amount of the entire move. I agree because they have me bent over a barrel. So now they get to Orlando a week or so later and the disaster starts all over again. Did i mention they demand Cash only at delivery so i had to get $3,900.00 in cash the day before arrival. They arrive at the house and now demand the Cash without allowing us to inventory or inspect the items. The driver get the crazy lady on the phone and she starts yelling and screaming at my wife and me and telling the drivers to just leave. Finally one of the movers opens the truck to allow us to make sure all of our stuff is there but still wont unpack it. Now she is yelling at him telling him not to do it. We finally resolve with the drivers and get our stuff, but it was an absolute nightmare. These people are crooks and will take advantage of you. I highly recommend you stay clear of this company. We have moved several times and have never been treated like this and have never paid Cash. Run fast and far from these folks.

Literally the best!
I cannot speak highly enough of the service that Amex Moving & Storage Movers provides. Our new home has quite steep stairs, yet they managed to get everything in there without a scratch. They completed the job in the allotted time and at a fair price.

Impressed me most was their dedication to customer satisfaction.
Our long-distance move from the coast inland meant my surfboards had to make the trip safely. The movers slid each board into padded covers and stored them against the truck wall to prevent bending. When they were brought inside, I checked for dings, but there weren’t any. I appreciated the extra steps to protect something I use every weekend.

I wholeheartedly recommend this company! From the initial phone conversation until the relocation day, they communicated well. The entire crew was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The relocation was rapid and efficient. Most notably, compared to previous movers, they were extremely cautious and took great care in transporting our stuff. It truly provided us with peace of mind.

They Were Mind Blowing
I moved from a second-floor apartment into a home with no elevator, which I thought would be a nightmare. The movers made it so easy. They were fast and didn’t hesitate with the heavy lifting. They even managed to get my bulky couch through a narrow hallway without issues. Everything was handled professionally and without damage. I was really impressed with the whole experience.

Our entire home office and bedroom set was easy to disassemble and reassemble because of their friendly manner and eagerness to help. We comfortably resided in our new house, thanks to their entire team.

Overall ok!
Moving from Valley Cottage,N.Y. to Ocala Florida. Henry and the crew were great!! That's where the good part ended. We had to wait two weeks to get all of our belongings and it finally arrived my work bench was damaged and half of our kitchen items were missing.My wifes expensive purse was missing from one of our boxes.Lots more broken items and we are still upset about the delivery experience.We had to negotiate with Ammex to get a fraction of our money back.

Fast, Careful Long Distance
The crew sorted the items and packed them so they wouldn't take up too much space. They even helped me decide what could go on top without causing damage. It was organized and quick, and I didn't have to make multiple trips.

Faultless service!
Amex Moving & Storage lived up to their name! Their coordinated effort was lightning fast, they showed up precisely when they said they would, and they made my relocation a breeze. They maintained a professional demeanor the whole time. They lifted my carpets and were extremely careful with all of my belongings, including my piano. In addition, they helped me get my new house set up just the way I had envisioned it. I will most certainly use them again, and suggest them.

I would highly recommend working with this team.
I have a small garden, and moving all my potted plants was something I was really worried about. Amex Moving & Storage movers took special care, placing each pot into a custom crate to keep them from tipping over. They provided extra padding to protect the more delicate plants. When we arrived, they unloaded the garden items first, ensuring they got some sunlight as quickly as possible. Not a single plant was damaged, and their attention to such small details really made my day.
