Solid 5 stars for the help I got with my move. Javier was great at making sure the driver knew exactly where to park the large truck in my narrow driveway so we didn't block any neighbors.
The movers were professional and handled my belongings with great care throughout the entire process. Everything arrived on time, and the communication was excellent from start to finish.
I am writing this because I was super impressed with the specialized piano skid they used. Most movers just try to wing it, but Amex Moving & Storage came prepared with the right equipment and plenty of moving blankets. They didn't even leave a scuff on the hardwood floors while moving that beast of an instrument. It’s rare to see that kind of expertise these days.
These movers succeeded in doing the unthinkable. Our long-distance relocation went smoothly because of their experience.
Within 30 minutes of the packers and their supervisor arriving I was told that I had much more than was listed and I would be charged an additional $1600. She said this without any evidence of any items that were not listed. This is after going over the list of items three times with the agent, even adding items. Moving is stressful and I am not young. I felt that I was being taken advantage of, moving day, house was sold! I had a melt down and told her that it was not right. She did not charge me and acted like she was doing me a favor, repeating, 'now are you happy'. They were not honest about all of the transfers to other trucks to transport my belonging to storage. When my things finally arrived at my new address, the truck did not even look road worthy and had leaked during the trip, staining furniture. Some of the boxes that arrived no longer had square corners. It was the worse moving experience I have ever encountered and would never recommend them.
Moving from Valley Cottage,N.Y. to Ocala Florida. Henry and the crew were great!! That's where the good part ended. We had to wait two weeks to get all of our belongings and it finally arrived my work bench was damaged and half of our kitchen items were missing.My wifes expensive purse was missing from one of our boxes.Lots more broken items and we are still upset about the delivery experience.We had to negotiate with Ammex to get a fraction of our money back.
The movers helped me get a treadmill and an elliptical from my garage into the new house. Those machines are heavy, but they handled them like pros. I'm glad I didn't try that myself.
We hired them to move our daughter into her college dorm. They carried everything upstairs carefully and treated her belongings with respect. Great service.
My experience with Amex Moving & Storage was nothing short of excellent. We moved from a large house to a smaller one, which required a lot of planning. The crew, especially Kendry, was thoughtful and helped us decide what to move and how to best arrange it. Everything arrived safely and on schedule. I am extremely pleased.
I’ll never forget how Amex Moving & Storage handled my fragile collection of framed art. Each piece was wrapped, loaded carefully, and delivered without any damage. Their effort showed me they truly respect their customers’ belongings.
