I wasn't sure how my move would go, but the crew made it feel effortless. They showed up on time, packed everything securely, and worked fast. Nothing was damaged, and the move was completed more quickly than I expected.
I was quoted a price over the phone with a salesman from the company without coming to the home. I asked them to co.e to the home and see exactly what needs to be picked up. He said that it would be very costly to come to the home and that we could send pictures of everything. I sent the pictures of all of the furniture that I needed moved and he quoted me a price of the pictures that he saw and sent me an electronic contract. I had to give him half upfront and then half after it was delivered . I excepted that and proceeded. When the movers came they showed up the day it was to be picked up but not until the evening when it was already dark. I waited all day and when they did show up it was in a rental truck and did not say America's family movers. They came and took more picture of the furniture and then said that the price is increasing as will take up more space in the truck. It actually doubled in price, spoke with a lady from company and said not responsible for third party as they are a broker and get another company to move the furniture. Did not know that and cant get money returned . so I had alot already invested and needed to move as leaving the next day. I had to zelle the money as they will not take credit cards or debit . It had to be zelled. how convenient as you can't dispute a zelle through the bank. Basically stealing more money . the furniture was to be delivered on the 12th and did not come till the day after. they were suppose to put the furniture back together and only partially put some together. Too lazy to do the rest. When they put all the furniture in the home there was a big scrape on the dinning room table. Clearly quite damaged. they took a Picture of it said they would let there supervisor know. I also took a picture of it and sent it to the company. We'll they told me that it's a separate department that takes care of damages and gave me the number. called that number and nobody answers the phone. The. I get an email to submit a claim and so I did and they said claim can't be submitted as they want a copy of fro t a d back of contract. it's an electronic contract.the whole thing is a scam. americas family moving company is a broker not an actual moving company, stay far away from them.
They are deserving of all praise for their movers! My Grandmother was going into a live in care facility and she was very nervous about the move. But the movers treated her like family – they engaged her in conversation, reassured her and even took extra care with her favorite rocking chair. Once they brought her to them they created her new room in the same way that it was at her house and the transition seemed slightly easier. It meant the world to her!
There were a number of mirrors, framed pictures and glass objects that I had concerns about. The crew carefully wrapped up the fragile parts and ensured that they were secure in the truck. No damage to anything occurred during the transfer. We felt the service was worth our while for that alone.
I hired Americas Family & Moving Services to move just my patio furniture and grill to my new house. It was a simple job, but they treated it professionally. They wrapped everything up securely. The price for the small load was very fair.

I was told 4 guys would be there for the move. That is the reason I went with them. Two showed up. They contracted with another company 'Adam Moving and Storage' out of NJ. My items were the middle group on the truck. I was told after my items were secured they were going to NJ for a pickup. This last group of items would go to VA. My items, in the middle of the truck would be delivered next to NC and the items that were in the very front of the truck were going to CA. My items were in a 10x10 U-Haul storage unit. I had always mentioned a specific delivery date and was told that they would call me the day before. That call never happened. When calling the driver, I was hung up on, then my calls went to vm. When I called Americas Family Moving and Services, they do not have hours on the w/e, so I had to leave a message. (No one called me back). After about half a dozen calls to Adam moving, I was told my items would be delivered the next day. (1 day after the agreed upon date). A driver showed up. That's right. One person. Items that were in storage unit were, but not limited to: 2 dressers, 2nightstands, glass curio cabinet, dining room buffet, 2 tv's, 2-piece love seat sectional, 2 mini wardrobes, and about 25 totes and boxes. The crazy thing was that my items were the only ones on the truck on the day of deliver. Meaning, my items were moved off the truck, the items that were in the front of the truck were removed and then my items were put back on the truck. Some of my items came up missing and I am still waiting for them. Owner has not called me back and the driver keeps saying that he will take a picture of items in the warehouse and send them to me, but I have not seen them yet. Don't do it.
The whole practice was well planned from the preliminary co-ordination to the final unloading. They were friendly and had taken care of our belongings.
This was not our first attempt, so we did know what could go wrong. Luckily this time it was much simpler and we didn't have to spend the whole day chasing the movers around.
I’m pleased with the job done by the moving crew. They were respectful of my items and made sure everything was securely packed before transport. They completed the move quickly without bumping stuff into the corners.
