I moved from Seattle, WA to Jacksonville, FL after deciding to live closer to my sister. America First Moving handled everything with total professionalism. They wrapped all my large furniture individually, kept me updated while the truck crossed the country, and delivered right on the agreed date. Nothing was scratched or dented, which amazed me considering how far everything traveled.
Roman and Brian did a great job on our late evening move into Chicago! Quick, careful, and great listener who made a stressful day much better!
I moved from Orlando, FL to Dallas, TX after getting a new job, and America First Moving made the transition way less stressful. I was worried about my daughter’s bedroom set and a bunch of fragile family photos, but everything arrived in perfect shape. The movers were patient and kind, even when my kids were running around on moving day.
Moving from Albany, New York to Morgantown, West Virginia felt overwhelming at first. America First Moving explained each step clearly and kept things running smoothly. The movers were respectful, efficient, and careful with every box and piece of furniture.
BEWARE !!!October 2024 I began looking for a moving company to conduct my move to Dallas. I didn’t know much about finding a company for long distance moves but I did my best to vet companies, try and ask the right questions and read reviews. Ultimately I chose Americas first moving. I felt reassured by manager Jim that they would help me, take care of my belongings, be transparent and give me fair prices. I communicated how important it was to me that there were no surprises and that I would be honest about what I was moving so that I could plan accordingly. Jim reassured me numerous times that as long as I communicated the items and they didn’t change the price would stay the same (I asked explicitly numerous times). When working with Jim he assured me that I had his direct number and for a few days after scheduling the move, I was able to directly get in contact with him. a few more months went by and it came to be right before the move and I reached out to “Jim” who assured me that he would be with me every step of the way, but upon reaching out, I was met with an automated system to talk to customer service representatives. This was a huge red flag. But I was too far from when I made my deposit to turn away. I got my questions answered by a customer service representative and a few days before the move. I was called back to confirm the items I was moving. I did decide to add a few additional items which I communicated to the representative and he informed me that these few items would cost me an additional $700. To me it did not seem like the items I was adding were equivalent to that charge, but I paid in hopes that that would be the only additional charge the day of my move. The movers came in which I came to find out that the company that I had been working with was a broker, and they would not be conducting the move. Actual movers surveyed my items and told me it would cost an additional $1000 on the lower end to complete the move. They informed me the additional $700 I paid did not go to them and it was a part of the fee of the brokerage. I communicated that the items I would be moving were the same as what I communicated to the representative and they said it doesn’t matter basically the size I was quoted for was inaccurate. I had no choice but to pay the fee as I was due to be out of my apartment and needed to make my way to Dallas. Fast forward to the delivery of my items the morning. My items were supposed to arrive another Moving Company called me and let me know that I would need to pay an additional $700 to them upon delivery because they needed to move my items from one truck to another. They informed me that the original truck would not fit at my location, which is not true because there is an empty lot that the truck would be able to turn around in and leave in. I declined and told them to keep the items as a now $1900 move has become over $4000. The company decided to deliver my items without the additional charge. However, I have never felt more scammed and bamboozled in my life. I trusted America’s first Moving to be honest and transparent about their prices and business practices and they were nothing but deceitful and predatory of someone who doesn’t know much about the Moving business. Had I known this I would’ve worked directly with Moving Company not a broker. Unfortunately now I am out of $4000 and left with multiple broken items, including glass that was packed and a specific box made for glass and labeled appropriately. If I can help anyone, please be aware of this company and please take your money anywhere else. my mom works for the police department where I’m from as an investigator and we feel very confidently that no judge would agree that these business practices are ethical. This is extremely predatory please beware.
From Naples, FL to Raleigh, NC, America First Moving made my 4-bedroom move a breeze. I was impressed with how organized the crew was—they labeled everything so unpacking was a dream. They also went above and beyond by securing my outdoor furniture and fragile artwork separately to ensure nothing shifted during transit.
Thanks To brandom and Kassandra for explaining the entire process to us, All of our doubts were cleared and the move was succesfull without any issues.

Let me start off by saying we absolutely couldn't ask for a better less stressful service me and my wife didn't know how we were going to make this happen America first moving were very professional and understanding I assure you we had a million questions lol thanks guys we highly recommend them
