Our family moved from Killeen, Texas to Federal Way, Washington for a base transfer. America First Moving kept us stress-free through a complicated schedule. Nothing was damaged during transit.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.

So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.

America First Moving explained the entire process clearly during the estimate and followed through exactly as promised. The movers worked efficiently without rushing, and they were careful with fragile items like glass shelving and artwork. Unloading was organized and quick, which made settling in much easier.

The movers packed everything with precision and used extra padding where needed. They were also very respectful of my building rules and coordinated with the condo manager so everything went smoothly on moving day. That wasn't the case with America First Moving. First, i received a quote that was lower than over 90% of other companies I've contacted for the same job. Next i was connected with a move coordinator who let me know what to expect step-by-step. Once the formalities were complete, the movers the company sent carefully and quickly packaged and loaded all items into the truck. I was moving to Florida from Vermont and i received real time updates of the drivers progress/ location, which made me feel secure during the traveling process. The driver arrived on time, my items were unloaded by their movers and they even helped me assemble a few tables and furniture. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to move from A-B with no problems or worries.
