We moved from Columbus, OH to Tampa, FL and the team handled our belongings with great care. Each item was wrapped and loaded carefully to avoid damage during transit.
After finishing grad school, I accepted a job in Seattle, WA, moving all the way from Atlanta, GA. America First Moving gave me a fair quote, kept me updated daily, and handled my move with care.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
I moved from a 3-bedroom home in Port Orange to a house in New Smyrna Beach, and America First Moving did a fantastic job. They packed my furniture and electronics safely, handled my fragile items with care, and worked quickly without any problems. I couldn’t be happier with their service.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
Let me start off by saying we absolutely couldn't ask for a better less stressful service me and my wife didn't know how we were going to make this happen America first moving were very professional and understanding I assure you we had a million questions lol thanks guys we highly recommend them

America First Moving took the time to explain packing methods and reassured us throughout the move. Despite the distance, everything arrived intact and well organized. It felt like a true full-service experience.
I was transferred on short notice from Milwaukee, WI to Kansas City, MO, and America First Moving took the reins immediately. They brought all packing materials, labeled everything clearly, and kept my electronics and monitors in specialized crates. Delivery was on time, and I was able to start my new role without any moving stress hanging over me.
