Moving from Tampa, FL to Dallas, TX was easy thanks to America First Moving. My 5-bedroom home had bulky furniture, gym equipment, and fragile items. The crew handled it all like pros. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and they kept me updated every step of the way.
When I moved from Miami, FL to Richmond, VA, America First Moving impressed me every step of the way. They provided a clear quote upfront, showed up exactly when scheduled, and treated my 5-bedroom home like it was their own. They took extra time to secure my piano and large mirrors, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Long-distance moves are never easy, but they made mine feel effortless.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!

Only after money, will increase bid by more than $1,000.00. Shows up late by several hours or puts off till next day. Movers smelled like weed. Boxes crushed. Mentioned tip 9 times while unloading. Worst broker in business. They have snotty customer service, who doesn't care. I'm sure they get yelled at a lot, with the service they provide. Buyer be ware.
I moved from a 4-bedroom house in Wesley Chapel to a new home in Land O’ Lakes, and America First Moving made the whole process incredibly easy. The team showed up on time, handled all my furniture, appliances, and fragile items with so much care, and worked quickly without cutting corners. They kept everything organized and even helped reassemble my beds and dining table. Everything arrived safely, and they made what I thought would be a stressful day very smooth and pleasant. Highly recommend their services!
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
Our relocation from Indianapolis, IN to Jacksonville, FL went very well. The movers were friendly, organized, and worked quickly while still protecting fragile items.
