I moved from Deltona, FL to Pittsburgh, PA with America First Moving, and the process was excellent. They worked efficiently, packed with care, and delivered everything on time without a single scratch.
Our move from Plano, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina was tied to a promotion that came with very little notice. America First Moving stepped in and helped us coordinate everything quickly without making it feel rushed. The crew was careful with our furniture and patient when we asked questions along the way. When everything arrived, it felt like we could finally take a breath and focus on settling into our new routine.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
We moved from Naperville, IL to Cary, NC for a job opportunity, and America First Moving handled every detail professionally. The packing team was meticulous, and the delivery crew ensured everything was placed exactly where requested. Their commitment to service quality truly stood out.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!

As a military family, we’ve moved several times, but America First Moving made this one the easiest yet. From Pensacola, Florida to Virginia Beach, Virginia, their crew handled everything with precision and respect. We were genuinely impressed.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.
We closed on our new home and moved from Greenville, South Carolina to Madison, Wisconsin in late December. America First Moving helped make sure we were settled before the holidays ended. The crew was respectful, efficient, and careful with every box.
