Moving company in Deerfield Beach, FL
Our family of five relocated from Omaha, Nebraska to Scottsdale, Arizona in December. Despite the holiday season, America First Moving stayed organized and calm throughout the process. Even our large dining table arrived without a scratch.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
My move from Kansas City, MO to Atlanta, GA went better than expected. America First Moving wrapped furniture properly and ensured that every item was secured before hitting the road.
After a major life transition, I needed to move from St. Petersburg, Florida to Minneapolis, Minnesota. America First Moving handled my three-bedroom home with professionalism and patience. They respected my time, answered questions honestly, and ensured every item arrived safely. The move felt well planned rather than rushed.
Only after money, will increase bid by more than $1,000.00. Shows up late by several hours or puts off till next day. Movers smelled like weed. Boxes crushed. Mentioned tip 9 times while unloading. Worst broker in business. They have snotty customer service, who doesn't care. I'm sure they get yelled at a lot, with the service they provide. Buyer be ware.
After years in Chicago, Illinois, I decided to take a job in San Diego, California. The thought of moving that far made me nervous, but America First Moving made it painless. They were punctual, friendly, and went above and beyond to protect my electronics and kitchenware. My belongings arrived in perfect shape, and I was settled in within days. It’s rare to find a moving company that truly delivers what they promise.
Could not be more pleased with my move with America First movers. They promised excellence and they delivered. They made a trying experience hassle-free and easy. Eric, Robert, Sarah, Angel and Irma were incredible!
I moved from Tampa, FL to Columbus, OH, and America First Moving made the process stress-free. My 4-bedroom home had plenty of heavy furniture, including a solid wood dining set, and they moved everything without damage. The crew communicated well and delivered on time. Highly recommended for long-distance moves.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
Our family moved from Marietta, GA to Franklin, TN, and the scope of the move was significant. America First Moving sent a skilled crew that worked methodically and safely. The quality of packing and care during transport was outstanding, and everything arrived in perfect condition.
