After selling my 3 bedroom home in Orlando, FL, I moved to a smaller condo in Clearwater, FL. America First Moving packed everything quickly and carefully, even helping me decide what to place in storage. Couldn’t be happier with the service.
Our family moved from McKinney, Texas to Franklin, Tennessee, and the size of our home made us nervous. America First Moving sent a well-prepared crew that worked efficiently while still being careful. Every box arrived intact, and the unloading process was organized and calm. They made a big move feel manageable.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.

BEWARE !!!October 2024 I began looking for a moving company to conduct my move to Dallas. I didn’t know much about finding a company for long distance moves but I did my best to vet companies, try and ask the right questions and read reviews. Ultimately I chose Americas first moving. I felt reassured by manager Jim that they would help me, take care of my belongings, be transparent and give me fair prices. I communicated how important it was to me that there were no surprises and that I would be honest about what I was moving so that I could plan accordingly. Jim reassured me numerous times that as long as I communicated the items and they didn’t change the price would stay the same (I asked explicitly numerous times). When working with Jim he assured me that I had his direct number and for a few days after scheduling the move, I was able to directly get in contact with him. a few more months went by and it came to be right before the move and I reached out to “Jim” who assured me that he would be with me every step of the way, but upon reaching out, I was met with an automated system to talk to customer service representatives. This was a huge red flag. But I was too far from when I made my deposit to turn away. I got my questions answered by a customer service representative and a few days before the move. I was called back to confirm the items I was moving. I did decide to add a few additional items which I communicated to the representative and he informed me that these few items would cost me an additional $700. To me it did not seem like the items I was adding were equivalent to that charge, but I paid in hopes that that would be the only additional charge the day of my move. The movers came in which I came to find out that the company that I had been working with was a broker, and they would not be conducting the move. Actual movers surveyed my items and told me it would cost an additional $1000 on the lower end to complete the move. They informed me the additional $700 I paid did not go to them and it was a part of the fee of the brokerage. I communicated that the items I would be moving were the same as what I communicated to the representative and they said it doesn’t matter basically the size I was quoted for was inaccurate. I had no choice but to pay the fee as I was due to be out of my apartment and needed to make my way to Dallas. Fast forward to the delivery of my items the morning. My items were supposed to arrive another Moving Company called me and let me know that I would need to pay an additional $700 to them upon delivery because they needed to move my items from one truck to another. They informed me that the original truck would not fit at my location, which is not true because there is an empty lot that the truck would be able to turn around in and leave in. I declined and told them to keep the items as a now $1900 move has become over $4000. The company decided to deliver my items without the additional charge. However, I have never felt more scammed and bamboozled in my life. I trusted America’s first Moving to be honest and transparent about their prices and business practices and they were nothing but deceitful and predatory of someone who doesn’t know much about the Moving business. Had I known this I would’ve worked directly with Moving Company not a broker. Unfortunately now I am out of $4000 and left with multiple broken items, including glass that was packed and a specific box made for glass and labeled appropriately. If I can help anyone, please be aware of this company and please take your money anywhere else. my mom works for the police department where I’m from as an investigator and we feel very confidently that no judge would agree that these business practices are ethical. This is extremely predatory please beware.
I moved from a 3-bedroom home in Port St. Lucie to a new place in Palm Bay, and America First Moving made it a breeze. They showed up on time, handled my big furniture and fragile decorations with care, and worked quickly without rushing. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and the team was friendly and professional from start to finish. Definitely a company I’ll be calling again for my next move!
I relocated from Syracuse, NY to Orlando, FL and America First Moving handled everything with great care. The crew arrived on time, wrapped all of my furniture securely, and stayed organized throughout the entire process. Delivery was completed within the expected timeframe and nothing was damaged.
After a few years in Denver, we decided to move back to Charlotte, NC to be closer to our parents. With two kids and a house full of heavy furniture, we were nervous about the process, but America First Moving made it smooth. They packed the kids’ rooms with special care and even helped us reassemble the bunk beds on arrival.
I moved from Naples, FL to Charlotte, NC for a new job opportunity. Safe Travels Moving and Storage made the whole process so smooth. My 2 bedroom apartment was packed, loaded, and delivered right on schedule. They even helped me arrange my living room furniture.
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
