I had to move from Miami, FL to Raleigh, NC for a new position. America First Moving handled my 2 bedroom apartment perfectly. They packed everything safely, communicated the entire way, and delivered right on time.
We relocated from Richmond, Virginia to Fort Collins, Colorado with our three bedroom home. America First Moving managed every step professionally. The crew was careful, efficient, and kept us informed during the entire process. Everything arrived safely and on time, allowing us to settle into our new home quickly.
A relative of mine recommended them for my move; I was surprised by his testimonial so I wanted them to help me with my move too. They offer full coverage insurance and it is not expensive at all. I decided to hire this company and to me was the best choice. They are very friendly movers and made sure my furniture arrived in perfect condition. I feel I paid the right price for the right service.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.

My fiancé and I moved from Boise, ID to Sacramento, CA, combining our apartments into one home. America First Moving treated our belongings with care, especially the fragile keepsakes from our engagement trip. They kept us updated during transport, and the delivery came earlier than expected, which helped us settle in before our wedding planning rush.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
Our relocation from Indianapolis, IN to Jacksonville, FL went very well. The movers were friendly, organized, and worked quickly while still protecting fragile items.
