Smooth Long-Distance Relocation
I had to relocate from Orlando, FL to Philadelphia, PA, and America First Moving exceeded my expectations. It was a 3-bedroom home, and they managed the entire process with professionalism. They carefully wrapped all fragile items and checked with me before loading anything delicate. Everything arrived safely, and the move was completed smoothly.

***BEWARE SCAM ALERT***
***PURE NIGHTMARE*** If I could give a negative 0, I would! It has been 6 months, no resolution at all and NO furniture and out of over $10,000!!! NJ sales person told us that America 1st is a self-contained one stop shop and will deliver door-to-door for our international move to the Dominican Republic from North Carolina. NJ continued to reassure that their company would be great for the international move and that his guys would love to take a vacation to the DR and we had nothing to worry about. NJ proceeded to tell us that America 1st would also take care of customs, the fees and so forth once our belongings reach the port in the DR. We paid our deposit that was over $4400 pick-up date set for May 24, 2025, paid for so-called boxes for our tvs, a large mirror and a large picture. A U-Haul pulls up and only one guy to move our belongings name John. We had our belongings that were being shipped already boxed up and ready to go. John stated that we would need to pay an extra $1700 because of the cubic size of the container. First point of contact NJ did not say anything of that nature. We refused to pay the extra $1700. John contacted someone and that was the end of the conversation. Now, the boxes that we paid an extra $250 for the TV's, mirror and the picture; were just regular U-Haul moving boxes that were broken apart. Two other random guys pulled up hours later to assist John with the loading the U-Haul. We provided a cashier's check to John over $3000 once the U-Haul was loaded. I wouldn't think that on May 24, 2025 would be the last day that we would see our furniture. Next thing we know, we received an email from UShip Van Lines (also known as RADO Express), received the contract; had to make two more payments before our belongings could be scheduled for pick-up. Made the payment over $1300, and the last payment over $1900 once we receive our furniture. We're 6 months in, way beyond the delivery date of August 24, 2025. We have called America 1st numerous times over and over just to get the complete run around. We have spoken with Brian, Jessica, Eric, Matt; probably the entire company at this point. Today was the day, called back for a follow-up because Tuesday we were told that they reached out to UShip and waiting for an update. Each time that we have called, placed on hold; your shipment is in transit, your shipment is still in storage and you owe for 60 days of storage fees (we only had storage for 30 days and the fees were waived), your belongings are at the Miami port, now it's in transit, still waiting to assign a driver; the list and the plot continues with the same verbiage with no end! Today, called to get a follow-up and was speaking with Matt, all of a sudden Jason (Manager) took over the call. Where do I begin? First, I did not ask to speak with Jason. I was speaking with Matt. Jason thought that he would just bully me and that I was just going to be quiet and listen as if I was his child. That was not going to happen. Jason wanted to out talk me, and didn't care about our concerns. No one would tell us where our furniture is located, nor provide any resolution. We keep getting excuses, well we're the broker not the carrier. I expressed once again, that America 1st is the first direct point of contact. You took a large deposit just to leave us abandoned. Jason sent an email to UShip but at this point the way we have been mistreated; is pointless. We haven't received an apology or what can we do; just straight attitude from this company without any empathy or respect. We are very frustrated and disheartened that we have come to the conclusion that we may never see our belongings again. This company is nothing more than a SCAM and has taken our money and has provided a MAJOR DISSERVICE!!!! We have filed several federal disputes today after my conversation with Jason. We have already taken legal action with our financial institution for FRAUD, and I will be filing a dispute with our Attorney General in the morning. We shouldn't have to go to these in-depth measures to retrieve our furniture!!!

Helping My Daughter Start Fresh
My daughter got accepted into grad school in San Francisco, California, so we helped her move from New York City. America First Moving took the stress off both of us. They provided packing materials, helped organize her boxes by room, and coordinated perfectly with her new apartment’s tight parking rules. DO NOT USE- SCAMMERS
DO NOT USE. Scammers and crooks. Any positive reviews are scams. Check out their better business bureau rating. Here are the facts: 1. Your price will double 2 days before the pickup. (Bait and switch) 2. If you want it within the 2-3 days you asked for delivery they will add $1K (no disclosure at sale.) Without paying this, expect items to arrive 3-4 weeks later. 3. Your items get moved on/off trucks-warehouse multiple times. Boxes THROWN on the truck in a pile. Zero professional movers involved. 4. Items will be damaged and totally LOST. 5. You won't be compensated. Your credit company can't help. 6. The people who sell you the contract will vanish; the service reps will blame you for everything. MY ADVICE: A cross country move will only go well if you do it yourself (UHaul pod serice is fabulous, 1/3rd the cost) or hire a prominent national mover.

Moving Review
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!

Untrustworthy Scam Artists Holding My Belongings Hostage
America First Moving Services has nonexistent professionalism or reliability. Beware of unexpected price increases after they load your belongings onto the truck. Additionally, they and their subsidiaries (AMB Moving and Storage Inc. and Sorto Express Transportation Inc.) will hold your belongings hostage, with little to no support from anyone in resolving these issues. Only "give us what we want, how we want it." The company outsources its moves to third-party contractors, who in turn hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot, making it difficult to track shipments or hold anyone accountable. I’ve been waiting months for my belongings; I’m being pressured into paying additional fees before they’ll deliver my belongings. This is a scam company; they will lie and agree to any request to get your business, then bait and switch and provide nothing promised in the contract or via phone. I never authorized them to place my belongings in storage; they’re holding my items hostage and charging me storage fees for it. They took what they wanted out of my storage and left the rest, saying the whole truck wasn’t allocated to me. I’m still paying for a $500-a-month storage unit and have to hire another moving company and fly back to Las Vegas. They tried to overcharge me at pickup after my belongings had been loaded onto the truck. They forged a document; this is identity theft. Forget about those professional movers they raved about; they hire day laborers from in front of Home Depot. There are no professional movers. Only God knows who they have handling your belongings and in your home. Most of all, America First Moving has a pattern of deceptive pricing, poor communication, and lack of accountability, leading to a highly frustrating experience. If you bring up their dishonesty, they’ll deflect and only talk about extorting money from you. They or their subsidiaries won’t give me the correct billing. America First Moving Services didn’t provide any of what I contracted them to do. I had to involve the bank, and they returned the deposit that is allocated for them, only to add it back to the balance. A refund is just that, a refund. If they thought they deserved the money, they would have fought it at the bank, like every other legitimate business, not refunded and added it back to the bill. This is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. If you're considering them as a moving company, it may be best to explore other options with better reputations. Warning: Avoid them at all costs!!! Save yourself time, money, and your sanity.
