Moving a 2-bedroom condo from Gainesville to Raleigh, NC was stressful until America First Moving stepped in. They packed everything fast but carefully, kept me updated during the drive, and even helped with furniture placement at the new place.
My husband and I moved from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Dallas, TX with our 4 bedroom home. We’ve moved several times before, but America First Moving has been by far the best company we’ve used. Courteous, fast, and reliable.
Moving from Naperville, Illinois to Madison, Wisconsin in the middle of a hectic work schedule was intimidating. America First Moving stayed on track, packed everything carefully, and delivered on time. Their professionalism and clear communication made this three bedroom move much easier than we imagined.
We relocated from Plano, TX to Franklin, TN for a job promotion and America 1st Moving handled our three bedroom home with impressive attention to detail. The crew carefully wrapped all furniture, labeled every box, and kept communication clear throughout transit. Delivery arrived right on schedule and everything was placed exactly where we asked, making the entire process feel seamless.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.

Relocating our family from Orlando, FL to Atlanta, GA with a 3 bedroom home and two little kids was a challenge. America First Moving’s team was patient, efficient, and even took time to label boxes for easier unpacking.
If i could give zero starts, I would. This company is an absolute scam. Even though we showed him all the items in the video call for couple of hrs. They intentionally gave us a low ball estimate by reducing the cubic ft. On the day of pickup, they would argue about the cubic ft and the person who originally estimated wont pickup your call. When they estimate, they would do sweet talk to get the order. We had to pay additional 30% of the money since we dont have choice at the time of pickup. Whats worse is, they blatantly lied about not out sourcing - my move was handled by multiple different companies, none of which were professional or reliable. All of our Bi-cycles broke, some of the boxes were damaged. Initially they told they will deliver in 2-3 days when they want to get the order but they delivered only after 2 weeks. The guys who delivered made all of our carpet dirty in our apartment. We asked to clean it up but they didnt saying they dont have cleaning stuff and they have to urgently deliver something else. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want stress, hidden fees, broken promises and zero accountability. Total nightmare.
