After my wife got a teaching position in Portland, Oregon, we had to relocate from Atlanta, Georgia. America First Moving handled every part of the process without any issues. From the first phone call to the final box delivery, they kept us updated and treated us like family. Everything arrived safe and sound, and they even followed up the next day to make sure we were settling in comfortably.
We moved our 3 bedroom home from Jacksonville, FL to Nashville, TN. The movers were incredibly professional and treated our belongings like their own. Safe Travels Moving and Storage really lived up to their name.
I relocated from Hartford, CT to Raleigh, NC and the entire move stayed on schedule. America First Moving worked efficiently and made sure every item was properly secured.
I moved from a 3-bedroom home in Port Orange to a house in New Smyrna Beach, and America First Moving did a fantastic job. They packed my furniture and electronics safely, handled my fragile items with care, and worked quickly without any problems. I couldn’t be happier with their service.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
America First is a moving broker. They contract with local moving companies to do the actual move. The initial phone quote was $8500 (paperwork sent confirming price). Since this was my fourth quote it lined up with the other three quotes I rec'd. But, when the inventory list was done, the price went to $13,000. They did lower it to $11,587 (which was still extremely high). I had no time to change my moving company. The main person I communicated with was the driver. His command of the English language was poor. The packers could not speak or understand English. The following items were damaged or destroyed: 1) Molding on the hutch was damaged, 2) broken pictures / glass frames, 3) clothes were not hung in wardrobes, they were folded and stacked until there was no more room. Could not reach the bottom of the box and the box was too heavy for me to tip over so I could empty it. 4) wrapped candles in two sets of sheets and the red dye permanently stained and ruined the sheets, 5) salad crisper destroyed, 6) broke glass globe stand, 6) broke standing light stand, 7) sleep # mattress was not wrapped correctly so it does not operate correctly. Will cost me $290 just to have a representative to evaluate the damage. Finally, when I sent my letter, with pictures of all the damaged/broken items, they said they could compensate me $100. At that point, I knew there was no need to speak to them any further. DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. They are scammers!

I decided to hire this company and to me was the best choice. They are very friendly movers and made sure my furniture arrived in perfect condition. I feel I paid the right price for the right service.
