We relocated from Louisville, KY to Jacksonville, FL and America First Moving did a fantastic job. The crew stayed friendly, kept us updated during transit, and made sure every item was wrapped securely before loading.
We moved from Marietta, Georgia to Fort Worth, Texas after my spouse accepted a new management role. America First Moving helped us plan everything weeks in advance and stayed organized on moving day. The crew carefully wrapped our furniture, labeled every box, and kept us updated while the truck was on the road. When everything arrived, nothing was damaged and the layout was exactly how we wanted it.
This company sold us on a so-called “White Glove Service,” which is exactly why we agreed to pay their much higher price — over $3,600 more than the competition. The service was specifically described to us as including: “Packing, transportation, storage, delivery, UNPACKING, and putting all items where they belong, with the exception of kitchen boxes. You won’t have to do a thing — just sit back and watch.” Delivery day came, and not a single box was unpacked. The salesman promised one thing verbally, then changed the wording in the contract so the company could hide behind technical language and keep our money. First, they claimed unpacking “wasn’t in the contract.” When I asked them to review the recorded sales call, they changed their story again and said “White Glove Service” is just an expression — not an actual service they provide. That is plain and simple fraud. To make matters worse, they offered us a $200 “good faith gesture” only if we signed a document stating that: • We received all services promised verbally and in writing • We would not dispute the charges • We would not pursue any additional complaints It felt less like customer service and more like dealing with a moving mafia. If this review helps even one or two people avoid this company and their deceptive practices, then they can keep the $200.
So we had a drop off date of June 10th or 12th I was told today that we will not get our belongings until the 15 or 16th. Sitting here in our new home with none of our belongings. I would not recommend this company to anyone. These guys are brokers and once they get paid you’re basically at the mercy of whoever they find to pick up and drop off your belongings. On top of that you agree on a price sign the contract and then they want more money out of you because they have no idea the sizes and shapes of your belongings so what you think your getting is not what you actually get unless you want to pay more.
