True professionals!
It poured rain on my moving day, and I was sure my furniture would get soaked. But Alma Moving came prepared. They had heavy-duty plastic covers for my mattresses, waterproof tarps for loading and unloading, and used fast-drying cloths to wipe down furniture before bringing it inside. Despite the storm, nothing got wet or damaged, and they didn’t rush when thunder started rolling in. True professionals!

Reliable and trustworthy!!
We were relocating just a few neighborhoods over, but we had a packed garage, heavy appliances, and some fragile antiques. I was a bit nervous, especially with the larger items, but the movers were clearly experienced. They loaded and secured everything without any trouble. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but it never did. We got to the new place with everything intact and no stress.

Keep away your valuables from this company
We hired Alma Moving to move our belongings from Charlotte, NC to Norfolk, VA (only a 5-hour distance). Before signing, their representative promised delivery within 1–3 days. Based on this, we signed. • After pickup on August 15, nothing arrived within 3 days. • Then they told us 7 days. Still nothing. • Later, they claimed our belongings were “on the way,” but weeks passed. Today it has been 25 days, and we still don’t know where our belongings are. They never respond to emails, only through BBB. We even asked to pick up our items ourselves, but they ignored us. At pickup, their staff wrapped our couch in a dirty blanket, even though we provided clean plastic covers. This makes us worry that our items are being stored in poor, unhygienic conditions. We have been forced to live in an empty house, buy new essentials, and suffer both financial and emotional stress. If our belongings arrive damaged, we will take legal action. We strongly warn others: do not trust Alma Moving. They are misleading, unprofessional, and provide false information just to make you sign.

I only have good things to say about this company. Justin at the front desk to Micheal great moving crew, was committed to ensuring I had a great time. They let me add a third mover to the team even one day before the move, which was very last minute. All of them were good!

Great service and lovely to deal with
These guys were all-around excellent. They were so respectful and kind to us that we felt like VIPs instead of regular consumers. Their movers came and diligently moved all of our heavy, delicate stuff.

I have changed from a smaller townhouse to a bigger one, and it turned out to be a very well-managed process. The movers arrived on time and immediately began organizing the packing process.

Do not use!!! Beware!!
So many hidden fees. Didn't factor in boxes in my initial quote which I vehemently opposed but I was assured my price wouldn't increase. It did - by $3000. Another $750 in packing fees despite me providing everything they told me to provide. I repeatedly told them I had a large piece of exercise equipment that needed to be disassembled. Assured no fee for that then tacked on for that as well as moving my washer and dryer (which they always knew I had.) Lots of confusion between who I pay - the foreman or the office. Foreman was pushy about me tipping his Craigslist crew - basically wanting me to pay their $19/hour rate for him plus tips. My initial quote was $6500 and I ended up spending almost double that. Oh and lots of my furniture is damaged but they got the hell outta dodge the second they finished. No final walkthrough. I'm now toting boxes that were clearly labeled where they should go but were not left there. Absolutely disgusted with my experience.

Literally the best!
The movers did a good job and were courteous. They ensured that none of my belongings were damaged throughout the relocation. I am extremely happy.
