Keep away your valuables from this company
We hired Alma Moving to move our belongings from Charlotte, NC to Norfolk, VA (only a 5-hour distance). Before signing, their representative promised delivery within 1–3 days. Based on this, we signed. • After pickup on August 15, nothing arrived within 3 days. • Then they told us 7 days. Still nothing. • Later, they claimed our belongings were “on the way,” but weeks passed. Today it has been 25 days, and we still don’t know where our belongings are. They never respond to emails, only through BBB. We even asked to pick up our items ourselves, but they ignored us. At pickup, their staff wrapped our couch in a dirty blanket, even though we provided clean plastic covers. This makes us worry that our items are being stored in poor, unhygienic conditions. We have been forced to live in an empty house, buy new essentials, and suffer both financial and emotional stress. If our belongings arrive damaged, we will take legal action. We strongly warn others: do not trust Alma Moving. They are misleading, unprofessional, and provide false information just to make you sign.

Happy to Hire them
James and crew were top notch. Move was for heavy office furniture from a downtown 5th floor Storage unit + added pickup stop, then to final ground storage unit. Efficiency of the move was flawless. I planned as much as I could to make it easy, but it really speaks for the care, experience, and thoughtfulness of the crew when it’s carried out even better than planned.

Captivating Experience
Alma Moving was excellent; we had nothing but praise for them. Moving day wasn't difficult, although it had been very hectic for my sisters. After arriving on schedule, they packed the vehicles promptly and meticulously. I appreciate your assistance.

The crew was polite!!!
Thanks to Rick and his crew, the entire moving process was painless. They came promptly with all the required tools. Their wrapping skills were second to none when dealing with fragile items. They kept us apprised of developments at all times, which was a huge comfort.

FLAWLESSLY!!
These men have plenty of experience. I was panicking because I hadn't finished packing for my last-minute move. They arrived with all the supplies and immediately started working, packing everything more quickly than I had expected. They labelled the cartons. They placed each box in the correct room when we arrived at the new place. Streamlined the unpacking process!

They also maintained a professional attitude throughout the process and treated our belongings with the same level of care that we would have used ourselves. The entire experience felt controlled and well organized, which helped reduce the stress normally associated with packing and moving.

I was moving to a nearby town but had to split my stuff between two locations. It was a headache to explain, but the movers were super patient. They double-checked labels and confirmed what went where before loading up. They handled it way better than I expected. Definitely made a complicated situation feel much easier.

Worst customer service
The movers had to wear shoe covers since my new house had light-colored carpeting. They turned it down because they said it would be "too inconvenient." By the time they finished, my carpets had become dirty and stained. The expense of employing a cleaner was mine to bear.

Moving Made Easy
Really grateful to the moving crew for labeling every box, carton and crate with content lists. It was very convenient during unpacking for me since no time was wasted in figuring out which box contained what. Will absolutely hire them again!
