I would highly recommend working with this team.
The team really paid attention to the little things. They wrapped the handles of my pots and pans to prevent scratches. My mirror was packed in a special box with corner protectors. They taped down the latches on my cabinets so they wouldn’t open during transport. When they unloaded, they made sure to put the heaviest boxes on the bottom, so nothing got crushed. They also helped me set up my Wi-Fi router before leaving!

They also maintained a professional attitude throughout the process and treated our belongings with the same level of care that we would have used ourselves. The entire experience felt controlled and well organized, which helped reduce the stress normally associated with packing and moving.

Brave Movers
We moved our office conference room furniture and electronics. The movers unplugged everything carefully, packed cables in separate boxes, and reassembled the table at the new building. It made getting back to work simple.

Keep away your valuables from this company
We hired Alma Moving to move our belongings from Charlotte, NC to Norfolk, VA (only a 5-hour distance). Before signing, their representative promised delivery within 1–3 days. Based on this, we signed. • After pickup on August 15, nothing arrived within 3 days. • Then they told us 7 days. Still nothing. • Later, they claimed our belongings were “on the way,” but weeks passed. Today it has been 25 days, and we still don’t know where our belongings are. They never respond to emails, only through BBB. We even asked to pick up our items ourselves, but they ignored us. At pickup, their staff wrapped our couch in a dirty blanket, even though we provided clean plastic covers. This makes us worry that our items are being stored in poor, unhygienic conditions. We have been forced to live in an empty house, buy new essentials, and suffer both financial and emotional stress. If our belongings arrive damaged, we will take legal action. We strongly warn others: do not trust Alma Moving. They are misleading, unprofessional, and provide false information just to make you sign.

Amazing Experience, Great Company!
We were looking for a company to help us move . We came across these guys and could not have been happier! Their pricing was competitive and there staff were super professional, couldn't recommend them more!

Reliable and trustworthy!!
We were relocating just a few neighborhoods over, but we had a packed garage, heavy appliances, and some fragile antiques. I was a bit nervous, especially with the larger items, but the movers were clearly experienced. They loaded and secured everything without any trouble. I kept waiting for something to go wrong, but it never did. We got to the new place with everything intact and no stress.

Humble and Able Team!
They shortened the time our company was down, and we were back up and running in no time. Getting from one state to another seemed like an insurmountable task. Alma Moving, however, recommended movers who alleviated a lot of anxiety. They took care of everything, made sure everything got there safely, and kept me informed at all times.

Poor estimate and poor communication
Called Hercules Moving Co but didn't realize they were only a broker. Gave them our info telling him we close on our home on Friday the 20th and he said he would call me three days before our move to finalize things. He never called. Movers came (Alma Movers) Saturday the 14th as scheduled and did really well. Worked hard and covered everything very well. While doing the paperwork after they were done they said it will be there in two weeks. I had told Hercules we needed it by Friday the 19th and he didn't say anything different. After a discussion with the movers he made a call and said if we paid 70%down instead of the 50% it would expedite it and we would get it in a week. I paid the 70%. We walked outside Sunday morning and there was a truck outside our house saying they were there to move us! The kid had driven his own vehicle 1000 miles to take this load! This all made us very nervous so Monday morning I called Alma and asked what was going on! The guy said he would check it out and call me back. Never got a call. I called again on Wednesday and the gal said we weren't expedited! I told her my conversation with the movers and she said she would check it out and call me back shortly. Never got a call back. Decided to send an email. She did respond to that saying she was working on it. We close tomorrow and have no furniture nor do we even know where it is or when we will get it. I would never recommend Hercules or Alma to anyone moving long distances. No communication between them and their customers. Very stressful during an already stressful situation.

Above and Beyond
It all seemed so simple to me! They collaborated very well which was clear in their work. Everything in the truck was arranged well and all fragile boxes were protected. I was left amazed by how delicate they handled my antiques.

Their efficiency and friendliness made packing our house a breeze. No matter the weather, they were positive and meticulous, even going to great lengths to protect our fragile belongings in their packaging. Their ability to pack a truck so quickly astounded us, and we are grateful for all that they accomplished. Everyone should work with Alma Moving and these three men.
